"Great property, nice for our family, but would also work really well with 2 families staying together as 2 bedrooms are upstairs and two down. The two living rooms are also great for doing separate activities. The house has been really well maintained and has everything you could need in the kitchen, plus 2 smart tvs, wifi, games and books about the area. The owner lived across the road and was so kind, met us when we arrived and was chatty and interesting, but didn't intrude on us at all. We only saw him again when we asked a question and he responded really quickly. We stayed 9 days, arriving late on Saturday. He made sure we had a fridge full of everything we would need for breakfast on Sunday as the shops are mostly shut (including some stornoway black pudding). We don't usually go back to the same place twice on holiday, but if we do return we would definitely stay here. The location is also great- nice and near several lovely beaches. "We didn’t know what to expect. It was quite remote but the scenery was amazing! Nestled in Uig bay , with a community shop and cafe only minutes away in the car. It took a while getting used to no internet but we could contact with family using the community cafe WiFi! We visited places like the Blackhouse village museum, Callanish alpacas ( worth a visit- a rescue centre Croft for wild and domesticated animals with a cafe serving great cakes! We saw the callanish stones and managed to reach great Bernera across the Atlantic bridge. This visit was for 3 days only and we will be returning again for longer! The Heb pod was clean and had enough kitchen items to prepare food etc (only one small request- egg cups and a chopping board ) would be helpful seeing there are lots of local eggs for sale😂. I think it would be good to emphasize no guarantee of wifi and if out and about to take other means of orientation ( we bought a map and compass) So overall 5 stars for the Heb pods and we hope to return to Lewis soon 😊"

"We loved our stay here on Lewis. The house had everything you could need, the coziest kitchen, books and toys for the kids, beach towels, beach things, and the best part, the owners are so lovely and provided so much info on the area and their family history which made it really special. The house is in a beautiful spot and near to a very well stocked community supermarket. "

"The cottage has everything needed for a very comfortable stay, and the location is a great vantage point for exploring Lewis and Harris, The scenery at the cottage is spectacular. There were 7 of us staying. Marie was a very attentive, informative and welcoming host. Can recommend this property"
