"The place was clean and tidy, and the owner was very kind. But until I arrived I had no idea that the room did not have its own bathroom.
Sandwick Bay was OK, but pretty limited.
However Stornoway is a very limited place. No restaurants as such, Even the chippies shut at 8.
Lewis has a lot going for it - north, west and south.
Stornoway is the obvious place to stay - but is not much fun."
"The staff were delightful and very professional, breakfast was very good, hotel in a convenient location, other guests were well-behaved (sadly not always the case these days!)"
"Great location, smashing breakfast, very comfy bed, its all we were looking for. If you,re looking for somewhere thats just braw, then look no further, "
"Hotel was cute and in a great location. Our only negative was that although our bed was large it was uncomfortable and could use an updating. Staff were very friendly! "

Detached spacious Isle of Lewis cottage in tranquil position with loch view
10/10 Excellent
"Kenny and Mairi did everything they could to make us feel welcome in their cottage. Lovely welcome gifts on arrival and some great books on walks on the island as well as wildlife were very helpful. The cottage is well located for exploring Lewis and Harris with some great points of interest in the near vicinity. The double bed was very comfortable and the towels luxurious! They had thought of everything. Wish we could have stayed longer! "
"The pods overlook the most beautiful bay of white sands. Everything you need is there for a basic but comfortable stay. Local shop a couple of miles away ( which is very local for Lewis) will definitely be back. "
"It was excellent with everything just as described and perfect. The outstanding natural beauty of the area is breath taking and the pod is positioned really well. I would love to stay there again. Maybe next year."
Hebridean Huts - luxury glamping on the Isle of Lewis
8/10 Good
"We had a delightful time in this very clean, very well-setup and well appointed little unit. Lovely setting and very nice owners. Maybe would not suit anyone wanting or needing to spend long evenings with dinner there before retiring, due to limited space. Overall, we give a good rating."
