Looking over the main square and out to the sea, it is literally the center of the action --- but after 10:00 pm., you could hear only the surf, as a cat walks across the square. By noon, there are more people in Vernazza than there are in Times Square -- get out of town and go for a hike. Great restaurants nearby."

"We loved our stay here. It is a cozy room in the hillside of Riomaggiore. The picture included is our view from the balcony. We could see the Mediterranean and beautiful countryside of the town. Our room was clean, had everything we needed and was in a good location. Elena gave us specific instructions on how to get there from the train station ahead of time. We wished we had planned to stay longer in Riomaggiore. "

The views of the ocean were stunning from the restaurant at the hotel and from sunning deck, which were just down some steps as you head down toward the beach. "Great stay and experience, we loved La Spezia as a whole. Definitely recommend. Try to message them regarding arrival time the day before to make sure the reception area is staffed when you arrive, they sent us a message to request that information but we didn't receive it until after arrival, but a quick call solved that easily.
