This cozy home has three bedrooms and one loft space (doubles as a TV room and bedroom) and 2 bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a king size bed, a large bathroom with double sinks, a large walk-in shower and soaking tub. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, and the third bedroom has a queen size sleeper sofa. The second-floor loft space is bright and airy TV room that can be used as the 4th optional bedroom (includes a sleeper sofa). The kitchen is nicely appointed with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and everything you need to cook your favorite meal. Indoors there is dining for 4 to 6 and outdoors for 8 with a gas grill to enjoy alfresco. The backyard is very large, perfect for hanging out and for your four-legged buddy to explore.

Just 3 blocks above Leadbetter Beach and Shoreline Park this beautiful and dedicated solely as a VACATION HOME is located on the popular MESA neighborhood, the crown jewel of Santa Barbara.

Leadbetter Beach is a short walk down the street where you can lay out your beach towels, chairs, umbrella and cooler (ALL PROVIDED/INCLUDED) and watch the surfers catching waves. Sorry No dogs/alcohol allowed here.

Shoreline Park is a popular 14-acre coastal bluff park with amenities including a playground, picnic tables / barbecues, and beach access stairs. Shoreline Park provides sweeping views of the Santa Barbara Coastline, the Marina, the Channel Islands, and Santa Ynez Mountains. Walking through the Torii Gate in the center of the park will take you to down the bluff to the beach below. DOGS can play OFF-LEASH on this beach (that's my little buddy in cover photo) and on-leash in the park.

The home is also close to the popular downtown State Street, wharf and marina, shopping, wine tasting, popular restaurants, outdoor rentals and much more. Let me know your interests are and I'll help point the way!

Across the street from my home lives a long-time resident Debbie. She has cared for many of my house guest's children or pet.

FLY into our local Santa Barbara Airport (Alaska / American / Delta / Frontier / United) The home is located between the 101 Frwy and the Beach. Traveling North exit Bath Street. Traveling South exit Castillo Street. Use your map app to guide you to the house.

Please Note:
The posted website rates are based on 3 people. Utility costs (water, electricity, gas), linen service, cleaning costs, wear and tear, etc., go up with each additional guest, greater than 3. Even with this nominal upcharge, I'm sure you can appreciate the savings and benefits by bringing in a large group under the same roof.

There are security cameras (front of house only) on the property that ensure the safety of you, your vehicle(s) and compliance by our guests. While we understand that you may have friends and family visit you during your stay, unauthorized overnight guests (and pets) will be charged at the rate posted and taken from your deposit.

In addition, there is a wifi connected alarm/monitoring noise detection device on the property so that loud noise (music/party/etc.) do not disturb our neighbors. Please be respectful of these rules. Thank You.

Family Vacation

Beautiful house, Great location

This house was perfect for our family. Every had their own space. We loved the kitschy decor and the back yard was lovely. Host could not have been nicer. Would definitely rent this place again.

Beach house vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Markโ€™s house. It was perfect for our family of six. The location is amazing! We had everything we needed to be able to cook our meals. We definitely hope to be able to stay here again!

Fabulous Location

Couldn't be a better spot -- we made the short walk to Shoreline Park at least once if not twice per day. House is wonderfully equipped and comfortable.

Very satisfying

This property is everything claimed. Mark, the host, is on top of it! The property is nice, well equipped, "easy" to live in, and immaculately clean. We only used the bed in the master bedroom, but it was quite comfortable. We would definitely stay in this property again.

We visited Santa Barbara for a family vacation. The location was perfect, walking distance to Shoreline Park. The backyard was a wonderful oasis, and the house perfectly suited our needs. The host is very responsive to questions.

Wonderful!

My family of 3 stayed here for 5 days while visiting my son who is in college in Santa Barbara. This house is wonderful! Itโ€™s clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything you might need. The backyard is a lovely oasis and this property is within walking distance to the beach. We couldnโ€™t have been happier and will definitely stay here again when we return to lovely Santa Barbara.

A short and sweet Santa Barbara visit

This is one of the top home rental I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in a lot, domestically and overseas. What puts this rental over nearly all others is the attention to details that create an extremely comfortable stay. Some details are as simple as a coat rack and hooks to hang coats and towels. Every comfort was addressed and delivered. Auto night lights to light the upstairs stair case in the dark, well stocked kitchen, coffee bar, bottles of water, a local bottle of wine. Very clean and fresh towels and linens. Outstanding in my experiences. Thank you.

Outstanding Property

We have stayed in many properties during our travels. Mark's property stands out as truly exceptional. The location is wonderful, within walking distance of the beach. The home is comfortable and extends into a lovely backyard which our golden retriever loved. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and we really enjoyed the "coffee bar' set up in the kitchen. We also had the added bonus of a wonderful pet sitter right across the street. We will definitely consider it for future travels to the area.

Wonderful stay in Santa Barbara!

Our family enjoyed this beautiful home and it met all of our needs for the weekend! Three bedrooms, plus the large loft gave us plenty of room to sleep, but also lots of space in living area and back yard for enjoying our time together. Host was quick with emails, check in/out was smooth, everything was better than advertised. The slightest negative would be couch beds - we added extra blankets for padding. Cute decor everywhere, nice dishes, large fridge. Thank you Mark for sharing your lovely home with us!

5 โญ๏ธโ€™s doesnโ€™t do this home justice. Wonderful location, incredibly cozy, every amenity you could want, clean, and a great backyard to just chill..private and shady and plenty of great seats for everyone. Canโ€™t recommend this place enough. You will NOT be disappointed!

Beautiful getaway in Santa Barbara

What an amazing, beautiful place to stay for our trip to Santa Barbara. Everything about the stay at this home was perfect. The communication and instructions prior to arrival were clear and concise. Excellent location

Here for a she is beautiful run. Very convenient location, 10 minute bike ride to the starting line, 10 minute downtown. Easy to get to the beach. Kitchen is well equipped. Extra silverware, glassware, any pot/pan you would need. The beds were comfortable. Excellent shower pressure. Love having the big table. Nice to make dinner in and save some $$ on restaurants. We'll be back.

reunion with dear friends of six decades--from age 10!

The house could not have been more perfect!! It was so beautiful and worked so well for me, the wheelchair user, and my friends from elementary school. Santa Barbara is a gem. The location allowed us to spend all our time walking (me being pushed by my friends)--first to the lovely downtown area and the next day along gorgeous Shoreline Drive to the pier. We went to excellent restaurants--including Opal's and an upscale vegan place, Oliver's in Montecito. We hope to come back next year!!

Thoughtfully appointed comfortable house near the shore

Everything about this house was well thought out with the guest in mind. It was impeccably clean and everything was in excellent working order. We stayed here with our dog immediately after staying at two 5-star ocean side resorts and found this house to be their equal in comfort. The primary bathroom was exceptional! The kitchen was well equipped. Our dog loved the yard and would sit in the sun as I made breakfast each morning. We did find the traffic noise from adjacent Cliff Drive slightly distracting, but not a showstopper. Overall, Mark was a responsive host who has created a lovely home for guests visiting Santa Barbara. We would enjoy staying there again.

Phenomenal!

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at this charming home in Santa Barbara, just one block from the ocean. The location was incredibly convenient, with a short walk to the beach, close to all attractions, cafes and restaurants. The well-maintained, charming and welcoming house and beautiful garden made for a lovely atmosphere. Mark is a great host! His communication was excellent and service outstanding. The home was so generously appointed - we truly appreciate things like a complimentary bottle of wine, coffee, soap, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom, lots of comfy blankets to curl up in, extra towels, tons of glassware, serving dishes.Truly excellent! Check-in and out were well-explained and didn't ask us to do too much. Essentially, a breeze. We couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks again for the wonderful experience. We loved it so much we would happily stay here again and recommend this place to friends and family.
