"We arrived on Feb. 5th. It was right when the temperature started getting better but it was still 59° and windy when we arrived. The room that we got on Expedia was a disaster for a new couple starting out. The room was fine but it was a studio hotel room. There were no amenities at all. It was in a very shady part of the hotel and just didn't suit us at all. We went to the manager and told him our problem. We were very disappointed in the weather but there could be nothing done about that. They understood our plight. They offered us an upgrade which was fine but then we were told by the manager that there was one other room. It was across the street and there was a party going on there. It was an executive getaway. There were lots of old people but we are kind of old so it didn't matter. Heated pool sitting in the sun and the room had two large beds, a bathroom and a full kitchen. It was perfect. And there was no upgrade fee. What we did learn was then when you want a hotel room deal you should call the hotel yourself. Speak to Management. Tell them what you want and usually they will take care of you. The one thing we learned from this experience is not to go through an app. I don't think I'll be using Expedia very soon again. Our hotel stay at Devon shores was awesome. We had a great vacation. The weather turned our way a little bit but not a lot. On our last day is temperature creeped up to around 73°. It was okay though because the rest of our week was awesome.. Thanks"

"Staff was friendly and helpful. Free parking was a bit tight but always a space available. Room was clean and somewhat spartan, lighting needs improvement. Bathroom sink was partially clogged and backed up. Location is great and the view was marvelous. Internet AI falsely said pool was heated--it's not. Great value and I'd consider staying there again, just don't expect 4-star accomodations."
