"I’ll start by saying the hotel is old. Despite that they’ve maintained it pretty well. This isn’t a luxury resort but if it tells you anything we booked another trip to return here in a few months on our way home. The staff is amazing and they were quick to address a maintenance issue in our room. Our son was in the pool the entire time which was great and the food options were really good- not Michelin star but better than other all inclusive I’ve stayed at and there’s plenty of variety. The cevicheria on the beach is actually really good - I’d go there as a standalone and pay for it to be honest. Great vibes and I think a really good value."

"We came here for a budget holiday- booked with two weeks notice… the location was perfect! We did a lot of walking and lounging in the rooftop adult pool located at Casa Susana! I would highly recommend that you take advantage of the all-inclusive option and prepare to get your beverages before heading to the pool! The Suites do not have a restaurant or bar, so you need to walk down the street (seriously not a big deal though), the Casa Susana does have what appears to be an excellent bar for drinks, coffee and a grill HOWEVER it is not being used! Could be the time of year we were there?! (May7-14) Overall I would consider coming back and staying at the Casa Susana side to switch it up, the suites have a kitchenette which was nice for us to have coffee in our room and ice in the freezer for our drinks! The balcony gives you a glimpse of the ocean however not private- you will get to know your neighbours lol"

"Great stay at Playa Los Arcos. The hotel is in a great location in town and right off the beach. The pool had shade in the afternoon which was nice to be out of the sun if desired. Staff were very helpful - set up chairs and umbrellas on beach, drink service, and checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall the rooms were as expected and clean."

Melia Puerto Vallarta - All inclusive

"There were three of us and we reserved a room with two queen beds. The room was supposed to be ready at 3 o'clock. They didn't have a room for us until 3:30, and the room. They took us to had one king bed. So they took us to another room that had two full-size beds, and the air conditioner did not work. So we waited another 45 minutes for our third room which they told us was a premium room. It had a beautiful view as it was oceanfront, but it also had two full-size beds. Apparently they do not have queen size beds. The food at the restaurants was mediocre. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. The pool is quite large and has several places to sit in the water and relax which is nice. However, the bar is in the children's section of the pool. So the bar is surrounded by children. I suppose that's great if you have children, but mine are grown-up and I was not planning on spending my vacation with small children everywhere. It just seems like poor planning to have the pool bar in the children's section."
