A beautiful small and charming hotel full with of character. Very clean. Staff very kind and helpful. Great walking area with many cafes and restaurants close by. The hotel has a small restaurant serving traditional Mexican food as well as a bar. The only minus is the internet wasn’t great in our room. We will def return.

The location is excellent, in the heart of San Miguel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very helpful and has very good communication. The only drawbacks are that the room is very close to the kitchen and early in the morning you can hear the noises of the cooks talking and banging dishes and there is no elevator. Other than that, highly recommended.

The facility and staff are Very Good. Only one minor issue is that the atrium is open to the entrances to most of the rooms allowing sound from the restaurant and lobby to be heard. The hotel is very convenient to the Parroquia de San Miguel Archángel and Jardin Allende - the plaza in front of the church.

The property was great. Very central and clean. Room was huge and visually appealing. My only comment was that the air conditioning unit couldn’t handle the heat. Maybe it was too small for the room since I could feel cold air coming out of it. I had to open the doors to let the cool air in at night

We liked everything about the property, except that it didn't have an elevator. However, the staff were always willing and available to take our suitcases to and from our room on the second floor. The hotel is located close to all of the major sites and great restaurants in the central city. We loved it!

A Gem 💎 In The Center of Town
This was the perfect spot for a quick getaway to SMA. Staff were all super friendly and helpful, providing great service. Location is perfect...we walked all over and had quick access to the very center of town. A good value and just what we were looking for...a local hotel with local flavor.

Plus was staff and location for convenience, but location was also a problem! Church bells all day, any day. Starting at 0630 for some reason. Wouldn’t stay again!

Fantastic Location and very friendly Staff
Great location but needs a thorough cleaning and some updating. Service and front desk were very good. Valet parking was close by. We would stay there again

The property is beautiful. The room is decorated nicely. Beds a hard. Recommend adding coffee maker or kettle to room. Bottled water was supplied if you ask. I recommend leaving bottled water in the room and extra roll of toilet paper when room is made up. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & lotion were very nice. More hangers would be better, only 2 in our room. Location was excellent. Overall we were pleased with the room & staff at this property.

We had never been to San Miguel before, so when selecting accommodations, I went to the reviews. Check in was easy, our rooms were clean and it was convenient, they served breakfast starting a 9 am. Restaurant just outside your room. Slept well as it was very quiet and walking distance to everywhere. Stayed there 3 nights Jan 17-20, 2024.

Charming, basic hotel
Good value and helpful staff. Not quite as posh as the photos, but still charming. (Not sure about the other “exceptional” reviews) Great linens, towels and hot water. The room’s painted floors had peeled some resulting in a gritty, industrial look.

Great location and helpful and friendly staff. However, sound-proofing is really bad. I have a room on the first floor closer to the reception at the entrance of the hotel. I can hear people chatting and watching TV all the time until late evening. In addition, wifi is really slow inside the room (it can get better if you sit closer to the door).

I love this hotel, Location, Room interior, Clean. Parking is vallet, First it have to stop front of the road, This road is anytime busy, it is little stress.

Wonderful Hotel Mesones 49
My stay at the Hotel Mesones 49 was just wonderful. I traveled with my friend and we reserved two rooms through hotels.com. We stayed during the week of Día de los Muertos. We were greeted warmly and informed of a mixup in the room type- and they were most generous with making an adjustment for the error. Both rooms were adequate depending on your needs- one of the rooms was just smaller with less space and a smaller tv, but it was more than adequate. My room was very clean and comfortable. The room has great charm and is very unique, so much better than ordinary chain hotels. The in-room toiletries were great (Argan Oil). I did not request cleaning services during my stay because it was only three days. The heating worked well and was very quiet. The location of the hotel is wonderful, it is close proximity to everything in beautiful San Miguel de Allende. The restaurant was great- we had breakfast and lunch during the stay, and both were delicious and reasonably priced. They even provided ice and glasses on day after they were closed. There was always someone stationed at the front desk, and they greeted us warmly every time we came back. The front desk was able to offer directions to the taxis, make recommendations and answer questions. They also offered bottled water while we were sitting in the reception area waiting. I was also appreciative of the gentleman who helped with me the final night waiting for the 1:30 am shuttle.

Avoid by all means! Terrible room, noisy and smelly. So much so that the staff offered us an upgrade. Hopefully the new room wasn’t smelly, but it was equally noisy. On top of that, we arrived around 6.00pm and to our surprise, the restaurant was already closed. What about room service? we asked. Nope, no room service either.

Unbeatable location and staff
Superb staff and unbeatable location. The property is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staying in the Centro always means street noise and late night guest arrivals. All part of the experience.

We spent a full week there. The staff is wonderful and the food too. We had to move several times due to a very difficult stairway, a toilet that didn't work, a room without enough space for luggage. Finally an adequate room. The place is a little ragged but the location is very good. We were right in the middle of the Holy Week processions.

There are better options
We got room 13 which had a very unpleasant smell (paint and sewage). It was so bad we had to check out 1 day earlier than planned. Manager offered to partially compensate but nothing happened. Front desk staff could be more friendly. Only thing good about the hotel is the central location.
