Hotel Carmina is like a home away from home. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are large and the staff very friendly and accommodating. There is a restaurant on the ground floor and it is great. The heart of the town is only a step outside of the front door of the hotel. The Parroquia and the Jardin are a few feet away.

Great location, wonderful breakfast at a reasonable price, huge room, great staff. Judith and the other staff members were so helpful to us, and can’t beat the location!! This is the place to stay!

I stayed at this property last year and returned again this year. The location is perfect. The hotel is divided into two sections. One, the old colonial house that has been converted into hotel rooms. Two, is the newer addition, in which the rooms are similar. Both times I have stayed in the older section, where the rooms are quite different from each other-layout, view, etc. There is a restaurant, that does not appear to be operated by the hotel, which serves good meals from breakfast through late afternoon.

I recommend this hotel.
This hotel is nice and comfortable with an excellent location. Lots of water pressure and good internet. It is right in centro so was a little noisy. One issue is that for the same price some rooms were better than others. For instance our first room had no balcony and was a little small but our friends had a better room for the same money. I complained and the hotel was nice enough to change my room. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and the service. It took a while to get our car via valet because it was a holiday weekend but it was fine n the end. You are literally about a block from the church in centro. I recommend the place.

I stayed at the Hotel Carmina on New Year’s Eve for four days I think. This was a very busy time for them but they still had time to tend to my needs. I got food poisoning not sure where, but the house keeper assigned to my room was excellent and even came to see if I needed more water. My experience there was fantastic. The rooms are huge. There is a lovely restaurant in the hotel. And it is only a few feet from the heart of the city, the Parroquia and the Jardin. I would definitely return.

The location is nice, however there are other nice hotels in the same area. I dislike that they email me to tell me about parking and I let them know that I didn't need parking and they gave me parking as a perk, really? When we arrived our room was not ready so we got another room, which had a king size bed, but it was really basic and when showering water didn't drain. Finally, the guy that stay overnight at the front desk is super bad. I asked him for help because the TV was not working and he didn't want to go help and I also asked about restaurants a different day and the same, he didn't want to help. I don't understand why he works in that position if he is now willing to help.

No obstante, respecto a la habitación se le asigno una habitación más grande de la que usted tenía reservada. Usted tenía una cama matrimonial y por cortesía se le asignó una más grande. El check in es a las 3 pm, el cual, usted llego antes. Respecto al estacionamiento, usted escogió una tarifa donde incluye el estacionamiento, lo cual por cortesía y brindar un mejor servicio, tenemos la costumbre de enviar un mensaje o llamarles para darles las indicaciones de como llegar, debido a que la calle es peatonal. Respecto al chico que menciona, se estará trabajando en ello.

Everything was excellent -- central location, beautifully restored old colonial building, helpful staff -- except that the hot water was unreliable. Sometimes we had it, sometimes we didn't.

We stayed in room 4. Room has no windows, can be stuffy after returning from being out and about. Upon arrival we would leave door open and use fan to ventilate room. Room can be dark. Bathroom is tiny, not for anyone that has mobility issues. Great water pressure in shower. No refrigerator, no microwave. Beautiful hotel, excellent location, surprisingly quiet! Close to the church, bars, restaurants in town.

Fue buena la estadía, solo tengo una sugerencia acerca del televisor, solo se conecta al cable y no tenia nada de canales. Deberian ofrecer televisores inteligentes con acceso gratis a las aplicaciones como netflix, YouTube, prime video, etc.

Restaurant seems to be run separatealy and don't seem to like you using that space when they are not open. Front desk that I met, Maria and Frida, were fabulous. Room was lovely, comfortable and spacious. Be prepared for lots of church bells but that is true of all of San Miguel.

The Carmina is a lovely historic property right in the heart of San Miguel with a wonderful view of the Parroquia and only a few meters from the central jardin.

Very cute place! Very close to the church and the plaza! It was cold but thank goodness for the heaters they provided in the rooms. Front desk people were very friendly and courteous! Very clean rooms! Loved it!

Loved the old Hacienda feel of the facilities with all the trappings of a modern hotel. Staff are very attentive and courteous. Location was awesome, right in the center of the old town.
