One restaurant was closed and the other fully booked so that we could not have dinner there, despite trying to reserve the previous day. The decoration needs a refresh (see photos of dining room and bar) and the corridor carpets are stained (see photo). The beach was over-crowded. Most of the staff were uncharming. The a/c was feeble. We were told to ask for a partial refund through Expedia but this was then refused. Try...

"Just had 2 nights here. Absolutely beautiful hotel within short walking distance to Portofino harbor with all the restaurants and shops. The attention to detail at this hotel is incredible. The breakfast buffet is amazing with huge variety of choices fantastic warm bread and pastries, everything you could wish for. Dyson hairdryer in the room was an extravagant touch and dried my hair in 10 min instead of 20! Definitely hope to return one day!"

From the moment we arrived, Lucca and Monica, along with the entire staff, made us feel incredibly welcome—warm, genuine hospitality that elevated the entire evening. The food was beyond exceptional—every dish beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The care and passion from the kitchen came through in every bite. The location couldn’t be more perfect—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, yet still a short and scenic trip from both Portofino and Santa Margherita. We’re already dreaming about our return.
