"The room we were in, room 17, was nicely updated, but extremely tight. The bathroom door wouldn't open more than maybe 1/2 way before it hit the toilet. "We arrived at 8pm exactly but no one was available to check us in nor was there any info about how to check in after hours. We haphazardly were able to do it through a person at the bar. The bed was great with plenty of pillows, and the bathroom was clean and had an excellent shower. We missed a TV. Also, no info or referrals about where to eat after 8pm. Very weird. Since the bar was still going it would have been nice to be able to watch some TV to counteract the bar noise."

"The location was within walking distance of the hot springs, the San Juan River Trail, downtown and Yamagutchi Park. We visited all of them! The house was cozy and nice and the fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. The backyard view was awesome! We would definitely stay at the Hilltop Haus again. Also the host very helpful and quick to answer all of our questions. Thanks for making this an awesome family vacation!"

Cons- Listing says one bedroom, but really it is a large studio. No interior dividing walls around bed at all. Only one stairwell window which did not allow for much airflow at all and this window was dirty and dusty.
