The staff was very nice and accommodating. We walked to Morten’s Steakhouse for dinner. Our car was pulled up in front of the hotel when we left at 5:30 AM.

Absolutely loved the decor. The architecture was stunning. Loved the New Orleans feel and could really appreciate the charm of an older hotel. Valet staff was fabulous as was the bar/restaurant staff at Salt & Whiskey. Additionally, where it is located is simply a bonus - I will definitely be back! Thank you!

We were supposed to have a room upgrade for being VIP Expedia members but did not receive it as they were fully booked. The room above ours had floorboards that were extremely noisy and the person in the room above us was pacing their room all night which kept us up. We asked for a different room the next night and played audio to the front desk attendant to show them how noisy the room was - they couldn’t accommodate us, but also didn’t offer any discount, meal voucher, drink voucher etc as a sign of good faith for not being able to relocate us from a noisy room. The hotel is cute and full of charm, but it comes somewhat at the expense of comfort as the walls are very thin, the hallway noise is quite audible, and as noted, the floors above very creaky and noisy. The area of the gaslamp is very convenient and accessible, but next time, I would likely stay at a different hotel.

There is some street noise for those rooms with city view. I wish they would have had an additional lock on the door. Although the hotel felt safe, it would have been extra peace of mind when someone mixed up room numbers in the middle of the night.

Was an absolute amazing place older building complete redone lots of antique furnishings. Noticed a few exterior maintenance issues but other wise great place to stay, short walk to convention center and many shops and restaurants.
