The room was decently clean, and the hotel had most of the essentials you would need for a comfortable stay. However, it was lacking some travel essentials. The location was great, with plenty of activities nearby, and overall, the hotel was a good value for the price.

Check in was smooth, the place was clean but there was a smell of like sewage. The elevator was down and we got stuck. It was down during our entire stay and we were on the 4th floor. Terrible having to carry luggage all the way up 4 flights of stairs

The elevator entryway was not very appealing, and there were occasional mini roaches. Other than that, the room itself was larger than I expected. We paid a premium due to the Comic-Con convention and multiple concerts in the area the same week. Conveniently located in Gaslamp. Parking is tricky to navigate so read the signs if you park on the streets! I paid $10 per hour after 3 pm. Structures don't allow in-and-outs.

Overall, I had a solid stay in a fantastic Gaslamp location. The booking process was easy, and the photos were accurate to what I found upon arrival. The arrival instructions could definitely be clearer. There is nothing on the outside of the building that says KASA. The building is marked Marin Hotel 1888, as it is a historic property. Knowing that ahead of time would have made finding the entrance much easier. The location is probably the biggest selling point. It’s right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and entertainment within easy walking distance. My room was a decent size, and the A/C, Wi-Fi, water temperature, and amenities were all good. The towels were average, and the bed was okay—not bad, but not great either. Keep in mind this is an older historic building, and parts of it definitely show their age and could use a deeper cleaning. I also noticed a few small bugs during my stay. Nothing major, but worth mentioning given the age of the property. Overall, I enjoyed the great location, easy booking process, and convenience. With clearer arrival instructions and a little more attention to cleanliness, it would be an even better experience.

Perfect location!

The stay was great! I was able to walk to the Gaslamp venue with ease. There was NO issue with noise as well.
