You can tell they are trying to update the hotel but still get a feeling of remnants of 1980s decor (mirrored closet door falling off of rails as I opened it). Also saw some questionable fire sprinklers in the bathroom that were completely rusted out.
The beds were horrible, no firmness whatsoever, the sides of the bed completely sank in as you sat on them. There was no firmness in the pillows at all. It’s nice to upgrade decor to make the hotel feel “current” but you need to invest in the biggest reason for your hotel…sleep.
A big shock to my family was that this is the first Hilton we have ever been to that charges for breakfast….for standard items that would be available at a free breakfast (fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast) we were charged $20/plate…craziness.
The staff was friendly.
