We were having car troubles when we tried to check out, and the staff went above and beyond to help us. They found a mechanic for us, and they also reviewed the entire night of security footage to verify if anyone had tampered with our vehicle. They were so kind and helpful, and they allowed us to checkout late while we waited for our car to be repaired.

Very nice comfortable stay

Our premium room was well appointed and comfortable. The host and all the staff were very welcoming and helpful, we were able to check in early in the morning as we had arrived to SC, and enjoy complimentary breakfast. Slight negatives - whilst the bed was very comfortable and had a nice light duvet, the pillows I found too bulky to sleep on. I could not work the air con /heating system, even though I tried to follow the instructions provided. All in all, very comfortable stay at Hacienda Valentino, a short walk away from all the central attractions in San Cristobal.

We had the most amazing experience in this hotel. It felt like home away from home. I stayed for 11 nights and my husband joined after the first 5 days. The hotel team accommodated every little one of our needs, even changing rooms because we preferred to be downstairs. The staff is so beyond nice and were very helpful with everything we needed and even more. The food in the restaurant was the best we had in the area (do not miss their soups and pastas!!), and the sweet little attentions added to the experience. We were offered a very yummy breakfast on Sunday fresh from a French bakery in town! It was exactly what we needed, to start a cold Sunday. On the last day, the taxi that we had booked to take us to the airport let us down, and the owners jumped in and saved the day by calling a person that they knew and who gave us the safest drive to the airport. We can’t wait to come back to this hotel on our next trip to San Cristobal de las Casas

The location is wonderful, everything is very clean and beautiful. The restaurant is fabulous, and the staff was all very kind and friendly. The only downside was the "tech" part. The first day the heating didn't work, the wifi was poor in the ground floor rooms and to get the password we always had to run to reception, the safe didn't have batteries the first day and the second some electrical contact always made it activate so at night we had to open it and remove the batteries because it didn't let us sleep... Surely they must give these things need to be fixed, but otherwise they deserve the 5 stars we decided to give them anyway.

La propiedad tiene todo limpio y comodo pero el datalle que tuvimos de una mala comunicacion con un empleado y cuando quisimos hablar con el manejador, pues el no quiso hablar con nosotros. Asi que terminamos pagando por un tour que NO autorizamos. Todos se lavaron sin asumir responsabilidades. Y solo esa situacion me hace que no vuelva a ir a ese hotel. Otra cosita mas, ellos no atienden los lunes. No hay comida, no limpian los cuartos y nada funciona ahi. NUNCA reserven el lunes.
