"Heritage Inn and Suites is conveniently located close to the airport and the major thoroughfares thru San Antonio. Our room was very clean when we arrived. We made our own bed, since we don't like the tugged in corners. Somehow that was interpreted as no service. We had to track down towels, cups and coffee for 5 out of the 6 days we stayed there. The breakfast buffet was always well stocked, and the weekday staff person was very friendly and gave us some great sightseeing suggestions. The weekend person was overwhelmed by the number of guests. There is absolutely no curb appeal. Weeds are growing around the property and the pool area. The pool itself was clean, and towels were available to the guests. I would stay there again."

Awesome, easy access and close walking distance to the Alamo and River Walk, and River Center shopping mall, nice complimentary breakfast with good assortment of food and drink items. Competitive prices and ample rooms. Comfortable beds and full furnished kitchen and real size appliances. Surpassed my expectations."

"The lobby level of the hotel is beautiful. Our room was ok. We had a balcony that was shared with two other rooms. It looked out over the open area near the Alamo. The air conditioning in our room was not good. It never got very cool and it wasn’t even that hot outside. Talked to the desk and they said they would send someone up to check it. He brought us a box fan and said we were too far from the chillers for the A/C to reach. The bathroom had areas of rust and the bathtub had mold in the grout. The tub also had pieces of ceramic missing from the interior. I would not care to stay there again. "

"Our stay at this location was great. It is centrally located right in the middle of downtown with lots of things to do within walking distance. Food was on every corner, with a Denny's just across the parking lot from the hotel. The hotel was clean, as was our room. We went with the intention of attending Oyster Bake and the Fiestas, so we just stayed a couple of days. The breakfast options were great, and there was food readily available for everyone, even on the very high-traffic mornings. The pool and hot tub were open and clean, even though the weather did not permit us to use those amenities. The only thing that I would advise people who are considering this location is to be aware of the "paid parking" expectation. As of Jan 2026, this area is considered the "entertainment district," and the city has required all of these areas to charge for parking. It ran us $36 for 24-hour parking. However, we were allowed to "come and go" as many times as we needed. There may have been some other parking options in the area, but they just seemed like an inconvenience for us. Other than the unexpected parking arrangement, this stay was amazing!"

"The staff (were the most inviting, courteous, and professional, that I have ever experienced at a hotel. Valet greeted us and opened the door even though we didn't use the service, personnel working the check in desk were eager to check us in and provide direction, house keepers were pleasant. We stayed in the Ambassador Room with private balcony on the 6th floor. Room was cleaned and tidy when we walked in. Coffee maker was tucked in the furniture with a slide out which kept the focus on the room and not having the eyesore of appliances on the surfaces. For a building that has been standing for 170 years, it is surprisingly maintained and kept up with. If I visit SATX in the future, or if someone asks for a recommendation, I will advise to stay at the Mansion Del Rio."

"This hotel was extremely clean. Everything was easily accessible and walking distance from the hotel. The bar was well ran and all hotel staff was very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again."
