"Hotel is outstanding, it’s over 500 years old and it’s immaculate, food was great, very quiet, first time we have ever stayed in a Palace, room was large with a King bed. My only criticism is that it doesn’t have a true shower. Staff were so polite and accommodating ….we loved the place. Shout out to Lucia who checked us in made us feel so welcome. Appreciated Irina’s help this morning on the check out. "

"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day. There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "

"Great location near the beach, nice and relaxing. We went as a family (4 children) so room were great, we got the two bedroom with two bathrooms, which is more than sufficient - everyone was happy. Loved breakfast and we did eat at the restaurant, food was plentiful. They had spa facilities, gym and an indoor heated pool unfortunately could not use as we didn't book in advance (pro tip to book when you reserve). "As expected for the price. Everything worked: aircondition, breakfast, shower and so on. Good with close location to the beach. The bed seemed ok, but I prefer a bit more softer/cushioning bed. There were some roadworks being done in the street, so not easy to pass with a suitcase and would be impossible with a car. Nothing that the hotel can do with that."
