We had a great time, Tony was great with any questions we had and the place was perfect for our Ski Trip. 1/2 hr from monarch and only a hop skip and jump from downtown Salida. Would definitely stay again.

Was a great place to stay near the center of Salida as well as the base of cycling climbs out of town. Lots of space in this house and well kept.

We really enjoyed our stay!! The property is great and there was plenty of space for everyone to hangout inside (and outside); the outdoor porch and fenced in yard area was ideal for sitting outside with our dog. Tony was great and met us upon arrival - would absolutely stay there again!

Two grandparents, four parents, and four granddaughters and we still had an empty bedroom. Check-in was a breeze and the owner made everything easy. Had a great stay, thank you!

High praise to Tony. Amazing location, very convenient access to downtown Salida. Horses on property which my kids loved. Minor negatives - smallish kitchen and many spiders around.

The property was roomy and had little extra things in case you forgot something. The Owner was great and checked in to see if we needed anything and was great to talk to. The property is conveniently located to everything so it was super easy to get to and from everything we needed to do.

Four generations of our family enjoyed this well appointed mountain home for a long weekend wedding. The rooms were all clean and very comfortable and the children loved exploring the grounds.
Our host was welcoming and available and we are already talking about our return next summer!

Accommodates 5 people, comfortably. If using all the bedrooms, some don’t cool down well at night. Excellent host.

Easy rental and check in. Tony was very accommodating and gave a quick response when needed. Thankfully, we didn’t have to bother him too much. Couldn’t have been a better location for what we needed.

My husband and I took the family to Salida for a Christmas ski trip. The house was perfect for our needs. We felt secluded while being close to town. The kitchen had everything for cooking meals. Tony was very accommodating and easy to contact.

Our family had an excellent stay at Tony’s property. There was plenty of space, a well stocked kitchen, and many sitting areas to enjoy the outdoors. It is walking distance to the river and town. Tony was a very responsive and accommodating host. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

Location was great for our family reunion. Beautiful mountain views, especially from the master bedroom. Tony, the host, was nice but not at all responsive through the VRBO app. We had to contact him by phone directly to get check-in instructions. And while his voicemail says he checks messages frequently, it took a day to get a response from him when the WiFi went down and we discovered a mouse in the house.

Tony’s home was so much better than expected! It had ample room for our 9 person group (6 adults and 3 kids). It was fully equipped and completely ready for us when we arrived. Be prepared to argue over who gets the primary bed and bath — they are huge and well-appointed. Salida is a sweet town with good choices for meals, shopping and sightseeing. Thanks again, Tony for sharing your amazing home.

Tony was the nicest host we've ever met! He made sure that all the things (like soaps, shampoo, plenty of towels, etc.) that we needed for our stay were available, and the kitchen was surprisingly well-stocked, too! The beds were super comfortable, the house and property were fun to explore, and the view from the master bedroom was jaw-dropping! It was so neat to see the stars at night and wake up to beautiful sunrises. If we ever have another opportunity to visit Salida, we will definitely reserve Tony's home again. Loved it!

The house was perfect for our needs and comfortably fit our group of 9. The layout is a little funky, but there was plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen had everything you could think of needing to cook meals for a big group, grills outside, etc. One note, the master bedroom with its fab floor to ceiling windows was wonderful, but there are no blinds and no door to the bathroom area, so heads up to the sheepish!! Tony, the owner, was so incredibly nice-giving us a tour on the first day, brought us mountain bikes to borrow, and suggesting fly fishing spots and hikes for us throughout the week complete with showing us maps, etc. Tony was around and available most days to help with anything and everything!

Our whole family spent the weekend in this beautiful country home. We got everything we were looking for...5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, brought our dogs and put them in the fenced in yard, hot tub and fully functional kitchen, and country charm with a mother doe with twins. Very quiet and peaceful location. Our host Tony was a very nice gentleman who checked in, was available but let us have our space. We were all very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend it. The master bedroom was huge with windows facing straight out from the bed overlooking the mountains. We have made new memories. Forgot to mention that the river is 1 block away and our kids caught 11 fish from the pond. Yummy!
This area has a walking/bike path, is about 20-30 minutes from the hot springs (which were incredible) at mt. Princeton. There are some lakes also that you can take the kids swimming in or hire a guide to take you rafting. So much to do in Salida. Cool mid-size town.
Anyway, thanks to Tony for allowing us to stay in his wonderful house and make our new memories.

We really loved the home. It was wonderful for our family regarding sleeping and bathroom accommodations, and going to the mountain to ski. Also just up the street from the house is a Park. Food prep was a little tight but manageable. We would come back again. The rental we have used over the past 12 years, our family has just outgrown.
