It would have been nice to have some steps to the creek/river as it may be hard for an older person or a non-athletic person. for me it was fine, but you had to hold onto trees and carefully navigate the short walk to the water. "Stayed for a short visit and loved it! The location is great to use as a home base for side trips to Salida, Monarch Mountain or even destinations in the San Luis Valley. Comfortable, beautiful lodging and good for kids as well with the creek and little playground and sand box on the property."

"This property is in a great location. A few miles from Monarch for great skiing and plenty of trails for snowshoeing in the area. We also love the close proximity of Salida, our favorite mountain town. Beautiful accommodations and private hot tub cannot be beat!"

Walkable to lots of shops, restaurants, coffee etc. neighboring areas of BV and Leadville were fun to explore as well. Easy access to tons of hikes in the area.
