Nice little boutique hotel, centrally located at the beginning of the old city in Sarlat. Clean, comfortable and quiet hotel. Rooms are adequate in size and the AC works great. Service was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is €19 pp and probably not worth it for a limited buffet, but you're paying for the convenience.

Great Hotel and Location for Dordogne Touring

We spent 3 nights at Plaza Madeleine while exploring the Dordogne area. Great location in Sarlat-la-Candeda. The staff was very helpful in making dinner reservations. The room was great. Breakfast was the typical buffet. Because we were out for most of the day, we parked near the hotel and paid for 1-2 hours of parking. After 7pm parking is free until 9am so we would set out before 9 for a cheap way to park conveniently to the hotel. This may have been easier in the off season (late Oct) than it might be during the summer.

The property is fine. The bar was excellent, but we were told at the check in, that the breakfast was included and at the checkout, a very rude lady receptionist, told us the opposite. I don’t mind paying breakfast, but the attitude of the lady is not supposed to happen when you are in charge of a hotel.
