Takinoyu Hotel

"This is such a beautiful Onsen with an incredibly kind staff. We took a gamble in coming up to Tendo during our 2.5 week trip to Japan, and this stay easily became the highlight of our trip. We stayed in the suite with a hot tub in the balcony, and the room was spacious, clean, and traditional. The breakfast had a variety of choices, and the dinner (separate charge) was delicious with locally sourced food. Give this place a try, you’ll feel refreshed after your stay!"

"We loved this onsen hotel. The onsen is incredible. I wish we had stayed for more than 1 night, but our schedule was a bit tight. However, it was a great stay. It's near enough to Yamadera, which is definitely worth a hike up the 1,000 steps, the Hiroshige hotel and much more. I would have liked to explore Tendo even more and have even more time in the onsen. Oh, and the kaiseki dinner was so delicious and in a private room where we had a view of an incredible sunset over the nearby...

"Loved my stay here! It is right by the bus and train station, so it is very convenient. The staff were really lovely and helpful. I had so many questions and they were able to help with all of them. I also loved that they had extra toiletries for women-- including face masks and hair ties! The breakfast was yummy and the coffee/tea availability throughout the day was great. I would absolutely stay here again. "

"The Onsen/hot mineral baths were terrific and well laid out. The staff was polite and welcoming. With more foreign tourism Japanese hotels need better prepared English speakers; the staff here had no one really fluent in English. This was especially bad in the restaurant. Also, unless you are an adventurous foodie, I don’t recommend getting half board. Too much food (courses) at dinner and very very traditional Japanese. Breakfast is also traditional Japanese. If this is not to your liking eat...

"It is very convenient to shop and transportation. The hotel is old or not good condition. The shower room is not very useful, towels hanger is too high, the toilet is not good flashing and the water sound always heard near the bed’s headboard to make sleep so hard. This is my first time to use APA hotel, the check out time no one is front counter, I just drop the room card but no explanation at the first day. I do not think I will not use APA hotel again even very good rate."
