"Rooms extremely basic, no carpet on the floors, tiny shower cubicle and separate tiny toilet. No sockets new the bed. Small tv that can hardly be seen."

"The staff were attentive and helpful, even helping us with our luggage when we checked in past midnight. Thank you! However, the property is need of some TLC and maintenance. Room sizing varies greatly even in the same category of room (a group of us stayed with 3 separate bookings so we know), the phones never worked even to speak to reception (even when we called from our mobiles no one ever answered over 2 days) and the hotel is like a warren with rooms on the same floor spread out across various corridors and up and down stairs making it difficult to navigate and move luggage around. Parking on site was helpful though £10 a night feels an excessive fee. When checking in an unsavoury duo walked into the hotel (after midnight) armed with alcohol and a hostile attitude - they were not staying at the hotel. Staff dealt with it well but I can’t help wondering why anyone can just walk into the hotel at anytime."

"Reception staff pretty poor, not helpful, seemed more interested in conversing with each other. The restaurant staff however were exceptional"

"Spa was excellent I had a room in The Paddocks and (as a single female) felt quite vulnerable on the 5 minute walk to and from the main building behind quite a tall hedge. Also my room wasn’t made up prior to the second night. The Poolside was lovely, staff were great and food/bar area all as expected. Will visit again (but ensure I’d be staying in the main building). "

"Friendly and helpful staff, especially on Reception. Pool and spa lovely, too. Ideal location walkable from Birmingham International Station and into NEC."

"Stayed for 2 nights , 2nd night I could hear a humming what sounded like a generator or something similar which was slightly annoying. AC worked well , food was excellent "
