"Lesson learned - Don't book a stay with a property that doesn't have a single person on-site or on-call to help. By the time we arrived our check-in email from the Guesthouse still had not arrived in our email inbox. This email is the only way in to your room, as it holds the lockbox code which holds your key. "We returned to Akomo after a stay the week before. It's very well located for train travelers and a direct and close walk to shops and restaurants and trams. We had left an item behind and it was waiting for us when we returned. The room is basic and it's self-entry but this is reflected in the reasonable price. Ask the owner for a Bern Welcome Card for free local transport. S/he was very responsive to all contacts."

"It was absolutely fantastic. An old Villa transformed in a boutique hotel with great personality. It is like to be at home but even better! Many languages are spoken there! Rooms are gigantic and furniture is practical yet with a neat design, although the rooms look very romantic. The cosy lounge at the first floor with the balcony and the garden outside complete the picture...."
