Sandman Signature London Gatwick Hotel

Sandman Signature London Gatwick Hotel

8/10 Good
"If you are looking for a clean, quiet place to stay before your flight at the London Gatwick airport, I highly recommend. It is about a 5-8 minute drive from the airport depending on traffic and road work. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The only down part of our stay was the restaurant. After travelling all day, we were excited to grab a meal at the restaurant, we were forgotten about for the majority of our meal. We were one of 6 tables in the restaurant with 3 servers working. We asked our server for a side of peppercorn sauce with our steaks, she told us that it would be an extra charge, we said not a problem we would pay for the sauce. Our server left and did return for the rest of the evening. Instead another server showed up with the sauce 30 minutes later when both meals were completely finished. We had an awkward exchange explaining that quite some time had passed since we ordered the sauce, and our new server had to get the sauce comped. Later we ordered nachos though room service. The restaurant informed us that room service was cut off at a certain time, we said not a problem we would come downstairs to pick up the nachos. The restaurant told us 20 minutes. We set a timer for 20 minutes, then headed down to pick up the nachos. When we arrive downstairs, we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our nachos, which were not made correctly. Besides the restaurant we did enjoy our stay and would stay here again!"

"Property and grounds were excellent, beautiful. The rooms could do with a little modernization but I completely understand as the age and history of the building. I had a great time, easily accessible to town and the commons."

Royal Wells Hotel

Royal Wells Hotel

8/10 Good
"A very nice hotel with some very nice touches such as nice soaps, towels and an excellent cooked to order breakfast. Didn’t use the bar but it had a nice selection of beers in a comfortable environment. Rooms appear to be slightly dated and no air conditioning but a fan is provided, overall an enjoyable comfortable stay and I recommend it."
