Excellent hotel and stay, wonderful staff
We have stayed at the Duke Hotel many times over the past 4 years and the service remains exceptionally good. The Hotel has character and the complimentary breakfast, wifi and shuttle are nice touches. Located close to Villa Borghese park, a wonderful place to walk on to Rome. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The food was good quality the setvice was not ONLY one beautiful lady thin with long braied hair wad exellent at the breakfast time she was the only onr who ask if we need it anything other than that servixe was very very occupied with other stafff not the guest.

Good hotel in residential area
The only reason I have said that I would not recommend this hotel is location. The hotel was fine; a good four star at a good price, and although it is in a nice residential neighbourhood, it is a bit inaccessible to the main action and there are few restaaurants in the area. The hotel shuttle only partly overcomes this.

Great city break
A lovely Italian style hotel in a very safe area of Rome. The shuttle bus was very convenient and very prompt service. A very memorable stay, with very helpful staff.

Awesome, Avant-garde, elaborate and beautiful.
As it name sames, Duke Hotel,iIt is Luxurious, the staff were lovely, but one, who worked nights (gather he could not believe there can be an intelligent British North Africa in his midst). The rooms were absolutely divine and spacious. The front desk staff, especially the manager Massimo was eclectic in his gestures. The lady staff were beautiful and in awe of whom I am. The shuttle staff were ever so pleasant, organised and lovely especially one who always put a smile on my face and was mesmerised with my dressing. The breakfast was delightful, champagne for breakfast, and it lasted till 11am. This is a beautiful Hotel, the decor ever so glamorous and enchanting, and the guests were always a joy to look upon, polite. The bathroom was to my complete taste, it had everything I desired. The facilities were elegant, and the young man staff was lovely, I could of stayed in this hotel for ages. I wish I could of met the owner, I bet he is distinguished as his hotel, and the area was also lovely. I even go to go, to their partner Hotel called the Aquaniene sports club, Oh my goodness gracious me, never ever looked upon so many Silver Cups, all won from swimming and in the Olympics. The gym is awesome and everything is by Adidas, thus everyone had Adidas bags and swimming gear. This is a beauty of an hotel, I shall never forget, the only rival is the Hotel, I stayed in called The Luxe Rodeo drive in Los Angeles in 2002. Air conditioner was temperamental sometimes.

Comfortable bed, quiet location and friendly staff
The location is lovely and quiet. Nothing is very far anyway, but the hotel provides free buses into the centre of the city. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.

The hotel is wonderful but the concierge are very unprofessional. They asked for more money offer I got the offer from hotels.com, and I payed the room more than the double. The second night I booked was cancelled from them with no reason and I found my self and th kids with no place were to go in the night and they refused to give back the money. Very very unprofessional people. I've never had a do bad experience like this one

Old world charm with modern amenities!!
The staff is professional, friendly and very helpful! The hotel is beautiful, charming, classic and has a great location! The free shuttle service to & from the entrance of Piazza del Popolo was the BEST!! The drivers are very helpful with helping you get around the City Center. They have a handy map too. They also have a handy travel companion that's free for you to use. To me that sets them apart from others. I've travelled other countries and stayed in hotels. This is the first time that I ever seen that! The complimentary breakfast is also awesome! The housekeeping is excellent and very nice! I felt comfortable and I was impressed with the hotel and staff!! When I visit next year, I will book here again! Keep the outstanding service and much continued success!

Good hotel shirt walk to the borghese gardens.
The hotel is nice and clean in an area just north of the borghese gardens. The rooms are clean and ok in size, especially given it is in Rome. There is not much in the immediate local area - it’s fairly residential - but you only have to walk 10 mins and you are in the beautiful borghese gardens. Check in and check out was quick and efficient. Breakfast was decent. Nothing fancy but did the job and there was a hot option of bacon eggs and sausages in the buffet. althoughb it was quite understaffed and we had to wait a bit for someone to take our coffee order. But overall, especially for the price, it was a good hotel and I would stay there again.

Commenting on my decision to book the Duke Hotel for our stay in Italy, my wife said, "Good choice." As my wife is normally more critical of my decisions, the Duke comes highly recommended. It was clean, quiet with helpful staff and an excellent (free) breakfast. The rooms were spacious and well appointed with everything working as expected. We actually made the hotel our home base in Italy, with stays of 2 nights (twice) and a longer stay of 4 nights between trips around the country. It was the best of the three hotels that we used in Italy (my wife had complaints about the others).

A Comfortable and Quiet Rome Hotel
The Duke Hotel is in a residential neighborhood a good hilly mile from the Piazza di Populo. A shuttle to the Piazza is convenient and easily available. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast very good. The rooms are comfortable.

This was a okay hotel but the service on my last day was terrible! I would not recommend anyone to go there if customer service is important to you. So, I got a crazy bill for the mini bar which came to nearly 300 euros! I had no issues paying it, but the reception staff there was quite aggressive and forward in his approach in getting the money. It is important to remain professional and not take things personally but the reception staff here did the opposite.

The hotel was very nice hotel staff were polite and the breakfast was good enough for us (continental).2 minutes drive by shuttle to main square ( piazza popola) from there you could walk to quite a lot of the sites or get metro . We walked to most and for 67 years olds it shows it's not far to any of them

Quiet hotel. Very uncomfortable beds. A pillow top was given to us when asked. Made it a bit more tolerable. I suggest new, more expensive mattresses. Area was very nice; only two restaurants around. Difficult to find places to eat unless you take a taxi to town. Duke employees are lovely people, efficient and kind. Nice happy hour offered. Coffee should be offered earlier. Delicious cappuccino and food.

We liked this place alot. Room felt spacious after we came off of cruise ship. Superior double is what we had. Quiet neighborhood north of villa borghese on Euclid circle. Breakfast was great we paid 85 a night in july. Great price. They have a shuttle bus we never waited for Rome bus service is too good and came too quickly. We walked and took a bus everywhere suggest the 12.50 euro bus ticket for 48 hours.

Beutiful classic hotel
Situated in a nice residential area of rhe city that you would not normally experirence on a site seeing trip to Rome. The hotel cater for the fact that you are not in the centre with a free shuttle bus service that takes ten minutes yo the Piazza del Popollo - Simone our driver was great. Friendly attentive staff, great breakfast & room cleaned daily - I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice hotel close to the train station.
A very nice hotel. Friendly staff, good access to transportation. To reach if from the Termini, take the Metro train to the Flaminio station, then change trains and take the train to the Euclide station. From there it's a couple of block walk to the Duke. Rooms are nice, the bath in the more expensive rooms is amazing! Room prices varied from affordable to expensive based on the room and the night. They offer a shuttle service to Flaminio, but it's just as easy to take the train. Would stay again.

The Duke Hotel - What a Gem
From the moment we checked in to The Duke Hotel, we knew this was not your average tourist/business hotel! We were given a complimentary upgrade to a balcony room when I mentioned that we were in Rome to celebrate our anniversary. Room was large by European standards & was very tastefully decorated, complete with a good sized mini fridge. Hotel is a family run property with an over-the-top American style hot buffet breakfast with complimentary mimosas as well. The staff is multilingual & they could not do enough to make our stay a most enjoyable experience. This hotel is a true gem & we cannot wait to return next spring for another stay at this beautiful hotel.

The plumbing is brilliant
This little hotel is tucked away in a residential area but has good train services just 5 minutes walk away and also a free shuttle bus. This has a limited number of seats so it is best to book. the bus runs frequently in and out of Rome. We found getting a ticket for unlimited train and bus journeys was very cost effective. The plumber that installed the bathrooms etc would be hot property where I live, the plumbing was a joy. The staff were friendly and helpful and good fun, especially the guys who waited and ran the bar in the evening. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Our room was a bit small but the bed was very comfy and it is not noisy at all. One word of advice, go to the supermarket next door to get water and soft drinks for the room as the mini bar is very expensive.

Overall a good hotel
Overall a good hotel, however the walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the next room. This can be a bit annoying when its 1am and you are trying to sleep but the people in the next room are newlyweds or there for a romantic weekend. Breakfast and food pretty good.

Good and clean accommodation in a nice area of Rome. Hotel provides a free shuttle ride to the nearest piazza that also has a train station for connection story rest if the city, takes about 15 mins to get the nearest piazza. We had twin rooms as a family suite. Clean , rooms were a bit tight but worked alright for a family of four. breakfast was awesome, fresh fruit, cappuccino and eggs. No complants.

Extremely friendly, couldn't be nicer or more polite. Very impressed with their language skills and their willingness to host. Breakfast: I'm not very adventurous with food so I can't comment too much but there was a lovely selection and topped up regularly so nothing ran out. What I tried was lovely. The rooms are very traditional but very nice. Some features quite old, bathroom door was difficult to lock and unlock, you had to push on it quite hard. Thought I was locked it the first time I used it! Shower is nice although my other half complained it was too low down for him (6ft) as it was non movable he had to duck when he washed his hair! There were complimentary toiletries which was nice. My only big issue was the toilet seat was very narrow! I'm not a big person butd to lift it up so be comfortable! Couldn't get aircon to work but didn't really need it so didn't request it to be looked at (maybe they don't have it on in winter months) No English TV channels! Not something I should complain about but worth mentioning as I'm sure a lot of guests would appreciate a news channel or something. Some scratched, paint chipped and broken things her and there but nothing worth complaining about. Free mini bus was excellent idea! Although not advertised when I booked was a saviour! Free phone in rooms was fantastic. Meant we could have personal sat nav in Rome which is a great idea!

A Quality Hotel in a Rome Suburb
This is a very pleasant hotel, not a large chain or high density hotel. It is a bit out of the way located in a residential suburb but that makes it very quiet at night. The staff are in the main very friendly and helpful and greet you warmly most of the time. The room was well appointed and clean. The free use smartphone and the free minibus service to Flaminio/Piazza Del Popolo were both excellent services that we made good use of. Breakfast offered a fairly wide choice, although some were at additional cost. I would certainly use this hotel again if we are ever in Rome again.

A few problems with the room. Shower curtain was very old and made room smell moldy! Shower head was loose and sprayed water all over room! Sink was plugged and did not drain. Other than these few items we enjoyed the Hotel.

Excellent Hotel
Thank you to the Duke Hotel for helping to make our trip to Rome amazing. The hotel is very nice the staff are helpful, the rooms are very clean and the restaurant is excellent. The shuttle bus which runs every half an hour is very handy it takes you to the nearest piazza (which is lovely itself) and from there you can make your way to all the other sites in Rome. You do have to book a place on the bus in advance but you can ring up and usually get a place within the hour. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to friends and family.

Nothing compares to the add and promotions. Staff very unhelpful.sweeming pool is a lie.bathrooms filthy.superior room no balcony and very small.transportion is terrible. And they come up with €550 Minnie bar( superior rooms come with complimentary Minnie bar as advertised).lost my phone within the hotel facinty no help at all. Smells of racial inequality.teribale teribale . I will never use exipdia again.no help what's so ever.

Nice hotel in residential area, away from center.
Concierge desk very helpful for arranging transportation and giving information. Likewise, the breakfast staff and dining staff were friendly.
