Not good

It is not a hotel, it is one floor in a very old building with 5 rooms. It is clean and right next to the train station other than that it is very uncomfortable as there is no lift and it is two floors up to the entrance (47 Steps). The bathroom is very tiny, uncomfortable, the shower was broten - we told the manager, but nothing was fixed-. Overall bad experience.

Tiramisu left in the fridge

If you think of it as a guesthouse rather than a hotel, it is a comfortable facility. The public area has a kitchen and a calatry. The reservation system here is peculiar. I was relieved to receive a message from hotels.com three days before my stay that my reservation was confirmed, but I had to follow the instructions to confirm my reservation. I failed to do so and did not know how to check in. Unfortunately, I never received the email that the staff said they sent. Nor in my spam mail box. When I pressed the doorbell at check-in time, there was no response at all. Perhaps it is not working. With the help of the master of the restaurant next door, I managed to check in. I was not able to get a receipt for the city tax payment because I had to leave the cash in the room and checked out. The room has been renovated and is very clean. However, they are not soundproof. You can clearly hear the noise from the room next door. The door in front of the common area was auto-locked. I didn't know this and left without a key, so I was locked out. When I called my family loudly from there, they could hear me in the guest room across two doors and opened the door for me. Oh yes, I should add that there was some tiramisu in the fridge left over from a previous guest.

This is a great property for young train travellers. It is literally across the road from Rome’s central station. However, it was not clear to me from Expedia’s booking site that there are 47 steps up to the second floor and no elevator, The staff arranged someone to carry my 18 kilo suitcase, but it cost a 5 euro tip on the way up and on the way down. Also, this is a guest house with no food available. There are basic kitchen facilities for the use of guests.

Estadia tranquila.

O local é excelente, da pra ir da estação até o local levando as malas, bem próximo a Termini. O quarto é bem confortável, a noite tem silêncio e tranquilidade, vários restaurantes no entorno. O único ponto negativo foi o check in que por ser 100% on line, no celular ficou um pouco complicado. Seria mais simples se tivesse um vídeo instruindo sobre o check in.

Terrible check in

The Problem was when I check in , no one was at front desk. As an international traveler, I don’t have a phone to contact the hotel. The hotel front door was locked. The check in time I have informed the hotel manager a head of time. However, I have to ask a street stranger’s help to call the manager to open the door and get access to my room.

Nada que ver con las fotos. El baño es muy chiquito e incómodo. No hay nadie quien te reciba para hacer check in. Tuve que hablar para que me dijeran cómo tener acceso a mi habitación. En realidad no es un hotel, es un piso acondicionado con recámaras. Para hacer check out, solo nos pidieron sacar las maletas de las habitaciones porque ya querían limpiarlas pero aún no era la hora de hacer el check out.

Bem localizado

A localização é perfeita, há menos de 200m da estação de Termini, local super bem equipado, chuveiro bom, cama macia, checkin online. Serviço de quarto todos os dias, frigobar, chaleira elétrica no quarto, ainda, espaço para refeições disponível no hall de entrada. Não só recomendo, como voltaria.

Misleading Expedia ratings, shouldn’t been offered as a “hotel” for foreigners, especially Americans. No body answers after hours, not suitable for woman, bad cheesy neighborhood, no clear sign of hotel or residence.. TAKE IT OFF THE EXPEDIA PLATFORM!!!

Great Find

Great find. Location was excellent. Close to the train station. Special touches such as treats left in the fridge, slippers and umbrella where well welcomed. A small shared kitched was great along with a coffee machine. Would definitely recommend 47 steps. There is no lift which may be difficult if you have heavy luggage to carry .

Such a great place to stay. Superclean, snacks and drinks in the fridge for us and an overall good experience for us. Everybody was very helpful and let us store our luggage both before check in and after check out. We highly recommend this for your stay in Rome.

The place is nice, clean, perfect location! the only problem is that they don't have elevators (lift) so if you bring big luggage, it will be complicated to climb up 3 flights of stairs.

Great stay

Due to airline trouble, I had to unexpectedly book a room last minute, and late at night. I am so grateful I booked with 47steps. It turned out to be a wonderful room, walkable to everything. I felt very comfortable. Thank you!
