"This is possibly the most unique, charming hotel in which I've ever stayed. A retrofitted ship, the guest rooms and public rooms are stylish, elegant and comfortable. The location, within a 3km stroll of the Royal Mile, is perfect, surrounded by restaurants and attractions. As for the staff .... it would be very difficult for me to overstate how superb they are. Polite, friendly, attentive, completely charming; had only the most positive interactions with every staff person we encountered....

"Hotel was easy to find and approximately 10 minute walk from the tram station which takes you into the city centre or to the airport. Room was clean and comfortable however the walls are very thin and as such this makes for a noisy atmosphere. We could hear people coming in late at night and leaving early in the morning. However this was my only real problem with the hotel. Decent for price. "

"Kilconquhar Castle Estate was a perfect place to rest and recharge. Our cottage was great except for the mattress on the master bed. It was quite hard. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. "We stayed one of the ensuite rooms with vaulted ceilings and a dormer window- you just need to remember to duck ocasionaly. It's on the second floor so you need to allow for this, not a problem for most people. We were surprised how much space there was and the view over the park was lovely. The location in Leith is much closer to the city centre than it may appear as the regular (2-10 mins wait) new tram line whooshes you to the centre in 5-15 minutes.
