Amazing quiet and well-equipped Apt in the middle of the action!!

Barbara’s place is an excellent Vrbo!! It is welll equipped and adorably decorated! The bathroom is large enough to be comfortable and the place sleeps 4 adults easily. The location is stellar and even though it’s in the heart of Ipanema, the apt itself is very quiet. I would highly recommend!!

This room is fantastically priced for such a great location. The front end staff were very nice. Only reason it’s not five stars is that the AC really dripped when it was on high (due to heat and humidity) and I was afraid it was going to damage something. For the location, and brasil accommodations though, I would stay here again.

A flat that felt more like a home away from home, superbly decorated and in Ipanema's prime spot! With most the appliances you would have in your house, the apartment felt cosy. Swift communication and the building doormen were particularly helpful and cortious.

Perfect one week stay in the heart of Rio

It would be difficult to improve on this perfectly located apartment even at three times the price. Two blocks from Ipanema beach. 1 block from the Metro and a half block to a great supermarket. And a ton of casual restaurants. Photos don’t do the huge windows justice as you are surrounded in trees, and the host has thought of everything you could need. All in a fun style. And when my plans moved up three weeks, the host made it effortless for me to change my dates. A+ on every level.

Very noisy area, also you can hear the people from the next apartment very loudly. The decoration is very dark. There’s no microwave. The host is not in town, but she was very accommodating and responded timely. The AC is a mini split in the bedroom. There no AC in the kitchen-living room area.

This lovely apartment is fully - and beautifully - furnished, with everything one needs for a one-month visit. After a month one becomes very comfortable and familiar with all the amenities, and I enjoyed them very much. I cooked at home every day; not once did I dine in a restaurant of any kind. I felt right at home, and the owner had a lot to do with that. She is very responsive, and clearly wants her guests to feel at home. I was so impressed that I'm planning a much longer stay. I enjoyed it that much. The building staff are wonderful, the neighbors friendly and helpful, and the space a wonderful refuge. I can wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy all that Ipnema has to offer, and that's a lot! Excellent, comfortable, and charming.

Fantastic host & property

First, the host is very responsive, helpful, and accommodating - a pleasure to work with. The Apartment itself is cozy and comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped and is a shared space with the living room, which has a TV and sofa as well as a small dining table. The bedroom is separate with a new A/C and another TV. The apartment could not be located better - A+++. It is in the heart of Ipanema on the main street. Everything is close - Supermarket is a 2 minute walk, as well as a smaller convenience store across the street. Tons of restaurants and shops nearby. The subway station is only one block away. The shopping center in Leblon is also within walking distance. I was worried about noise a little bit when I booked this apartment with it being on the main street, but this was not an issue as the bedroom is facing the side street. Also the busy streets of Ipanema get quiet at night since it is a large residential area. Perfect apartment in a perfect place!

Incredible Communication, BEAUTIFUL Property

From the moment I spoke with Barbara (the host), I knew this was going to be an excellent staying experience. Being a "foreigner", Barbara was very quick to give me recommendations and would always quickly, graciously reply to any questions I had about the property. The architecture found inside the property gives it an extremely authentic, classic Brazillian feel that is very warm and welcoming. Great Wifi, and plenty of room to move about the property. One of my favorite parts is looking out the bedroom window seeing nothing but trees. This property is located in the city, but the view would make you think otherwise. On the weekends it gets a little loud at night, but it is to be expected with living in the city. After 10:00pm the outside noise becomes nearly completely gone. Overall, I could not be happier with my decision to book with Barbara at her property. For me, the experience was better than the pictures listed on VRBO portray. Thanks again Barbara, and I look forward to booking this property in the future!
