"Easily accessible by public transportation, perfectly situated between the Old City and the Art Nouveau district, the Metropole is one of Riga's best hotels. Yet it is surprisingly affordable. Rooms are small, but the hotel dates from a time when rooms were just for sleeping. Public spaces are attractive and clean. Staff is multilingual and attentive. The "Gastropub" De Commerce 1871 should receive better notice: it's a lovely space with first class continental dishes and an excellent bar."

"Nice hotel to stay close to the city center, but be a bit out of parties areas. Easy to get to the Old Town by public transport or taking a 15-20 minutes stroll. Good that this hotel offers on-site parking by surcharge. Very convenient if you travel by car. Hotel staff was really welcoming. Breakfast is included and is quite good with some local food. Our room was clean and contained quite a lot of amenities like a safe, a minibar etc. Double bed was comfy and provided nice sleep. I would stay...

"Property was in a good location to access all Riga has to offer. Staff were helpful and rooms were clean and functional although could have benefitted from providing additional pillows and air con/fan as they were very well insulated - almost too much so and you couldn’t have the window open due to the street noise from the surrounding bars. All in all a pleasant stay and would recommend "

"Nice and clean hotel. Polite people at front desk. Got my room earlier than official check in time, which was a plus. Nice room. I think (can’t fully remember) that I requested a double bed instead of two single beds (which I got), but I didn’t bother that much. Good lunch and breakfast. "

"The three person room was renovated and nice, but the 2 person room was a bit old. The walls are thin. The games room was good. Overall nice for a short stay."
