"Fantastic place, walking distance to the island with jogging path along the lake. I called to say that we arrive late and the lady at the reception was extremely outgoing, friendly, helpful. She booked us a restaurant where we could eat late in the evening. On the checkout day we could leave the car without extra cost for 2 hours longer just to explore the island. That was a nice bonus! The only thing that we would welcome to have is a lift - we had to drag our suitcases up to the 2nd floor. But...

"Wir waren als Familie nur für eine Nacht in der Jugendherberge Lindau, möchten aber die Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft sowie Sauberkeit (vor allen Dingen auch WCs und Duschen) und die wirklich schöne Einrichtung erwähnen. Das Zimmer war wie erwartet sehr schlicht, aber sogar mit Waschbecken und Spiegel ausgestattet (hatten wir gar nicht erwartet). Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend. "Firstly no fault attached to the staff. Initial problem is finding the hotel in the pedestrianised town centre. Parking is in a public car park next to the bus station and funfair a 5 minute walk away. Room was very noisy as it was on main street and you get drunks going home noisily late at night and get woken by council staff cleaning up early morning"
