This is a quiet gem of a place. We stayed 5 nights in a suite with a kitchen and deck overlooking the harbour. Easy access to the Auckland harbour ferry. 10 minutes to the viaduct.

Oddly, despite everything being quite clean, the first thing that happened was I stepped on a tooth on our floor in our room. So they lose points for that. But staff was helpful and they made sure i got my camera I'd left behind when checking out.

Online info to contact hotel direct - very poor. On arrival, grateful to considerate receptionist for moving two senior guests to a room not requiring stairs. A microwave and bottle of cold water in the room would be helpful especially when arriving after dining room closed.
