"🇺🇸 As an American visiting Brazil, I felt very safe and welcomed. Everyone was super nice, helpful, and friendly. The nightlife here is 🔥 busy — especially since you’re right in the city center. If you’re hoping for a quiet, relaxing night, just know this area stays active late 🌃. 📍 You’re walking distance to popular spots like the Arches of Lapa and the Selarón Steps 🎨, which is perfect for sightseeing. Breakfast 🍽️ in the mornings is nice, though it can get a little repetitive if you’re staying for a while. The staff was always accommodating and kind 🙌. 🛏️ The room itself was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom 🚽 felt a little dated — the toilet showed some yellowing and could use an upgrade. There were snacks 🍫 and drinks in the room, but they’re pricey 💸. It’s better to grab the same things at a local supermarket 🛒 for way cheaper. 🏊‍♂️ I wish the pool and gym 🏋️‍♀️ stayed open 24 hours (they close at 10 PM ⏰). But with Brazil’s famous beaches 🏖️ like Flamengo, Copacabana, Ipanema, and more nearby, you’ll have plenty of options to enjoy during the day 🌞. Overall, it’s a fun and convenient spot if you want to be in the heart ❤️ of the action and experience Rio’s nightlife, culture, and energy ✨."

"I had an absolutely incredible stay at the Sheraton Rio de Janeiro! From the moment I arrived, every single employee went above and beyond to make me feel genuinely welcomed. One of the things that really sets this hotel apart is that it’s the only hotel in Rio with direct access to a private beach. Not only was it beautiful and exclusive, but it also made me feel completely safe and relaxed throughout my stay. Having that peace of mind while enjoying the ocean was priceless. Another huge plus was the heated pool. Not every place in Rio offers this, and it made all the difference, especially on cooler days when I still wanted to swim and unwind comfortably. What really made a difference for me was the kindness and flexibility the team showed by allowing me a late check-out. It gave me the chance to fully enjoy my last day in Rio without feeling rushed, and I’m so grateful for that extra level of care. "I am basing this review on the price paid. We came during the week in wintertime. Breakfast alone justified the stay. 24 hour corner store just a few steps away. Full grocery store a few more steps away. & then of course the beach a few more steps away. Note:water in fridge is not complementary. I thought they were because there were just four small bottles of a no nane brand. "
