"A nice 4 night stay at the Novotel. Things that were good - room size , cleanliness . The amount of phone repair shops in Reading city centre - 22 !!! Mmm wonder why ??? The could have been better - the need to security check your room key in the lift was not working. There was no security check being done so anyone could have come into the hotel and got to any floor ! The hotel carpark - the spaces are so small, we were a cm off a pillar to get the car in. It is not suitable for modern big cars . We had to try 5 spaces before squeezing the car in. Deffo go for a room at the back of the hotel and high floor due to the street noise ."

"The room was in a different building to the main hotel. It had a window that wouldn't close fully, it was tired and generally a grim place to be. It wasn't close to the pictures on the hotel site. It ranks among my worst hotel experiences."

"Nobody at reception, bar shut so knocking on door in a room full of flies. Eventually got checked in, corridor stank disgusting. Wouldn't rush back."

"We stayed for 6 weeks amd each morning Gulia at reception greeted us with a smile and a cheerful comment. She has the perfect demeanor and attention to detail which made us feel welcomed and comfortable. She was able to answer any questions we had about the area and seemed as though she worked 7 days a week! The cleaning staff were efficient and helpful often working around our meetings and schedules. Thank you! "
