"My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect for exploring the area, and the house itself is lovely—warm, welcoming, and well equipped with everything we needed. The spacious living area and well-stocked kitchen made it easy to relax and feel at home. The bedrooms were beautifully presented with very comfortable beds, just what we needed after a busy day out. The property is private and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful gardens. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Beach cottage (also called Orowaru cottage) is a gem. We had a great week there. I can particularly recommend sitting on the front verandah watching the tide roll in and out. Deeply peaceful. And well appointed for your every need. We used the cottage as a base to explore the Hokianga and Whangape Harbours. So many marae, so many early churches, friendly locals wherever we went. I came home with a lovely handmade rug from the Kohukohu Village Arts. The little Kohukohu library is another gem."

"Well designed Thermal Mass house in a beautiful, tranquil setting. Lovely getaway from the busy city. Short drive to beach and shops. Two stores close by and a Four Square, also a popular fish and chop shop and bar. Limited internet access, no tv, so we played lots of family games. Only slightly negative point was the steep driveway, but my husband coped by putting his foot down! Joanna was a great host and very responsive. We would definitely stay again "
