"What a cute cottage!! Perfectly Maine! The cottage is cozy but has room for everything you need! The views from every window are beautiful! But the views from outside are spectacular! There’s a small porch to sit and enjoy a sunrise, cup of coffee or cocktail. There’s a picnic table to enjoy your meals outdoors.The cottage was well appointed, and very clean. The beds are comfortable. Contacting the host was very easy, and they replied quickly to any questions we had.The cottage is a great size for a small family or two couples.Would love to visit again!"

"The property was lovely. It had beautiful view and the location was very quiet. Well stocked with everything we needed. Our only issue was the hardness of the bed. We actually went and bought a topper and pillows that were more to our liking. Otherwise the property was perfect."

"We had a lovely time at this cottage. Our dog enjoyed her stay too. Cute Maine cottage. Could use a little updating, but clean and convenient to all that Orrs and Bailey islands have to offer. Will definitely stay again. Called the property managers on a few questions and they are extremely accommodating and friendly. Thank you for such a beautiful stay."

"Highly recommend the Fair Winds as the perfect place to stay in Bailey Island. The place was Home & Gardens picture perfect. The host is a premier host and her property shows it. We loved sitting on the back deck and listening to the ocean and birds. The house was and easy walk to Crib Bridge, Cedar Beach, Mackerel Bay, and the general store. The kitchen is stocked with everything one would need to prepare dinners or there are a few local restaurants within walking distance. We loved the ambience of the house. It was perfect for our group of six. "

"We had a great stay at Augustus Cottage. Cheri’s communication was excellent, and the homeowners next door were kind and welcoming. The cottage was exactly as advertised – very clean, neat, comfortable, and well appointed with new appliances and a smart TV. Everything worked perfectly.The location was fantastic. Nice neighborhood, and the small beach at Lowell’s Cove, just a short walk down the road, was perfect for exploring at low tide. There’s also a small hiking area with another beach right across the street – both were great to enjoy before heading out on our daily activities. From the cottage, it’s easy to explore Orr’s and Bailey Islands or quickly get into Brunswick. So much to do. Note that if you have two vehicles (or even a visitor) things could get a bit complicated, as there is truly only space for 1 vehicle. However, for a small family with one vehicle, this was perfect.Overall, we loved our stay and would happily return to this cottage!"

"We enjoyed a beautiful August week on Bailey Island. The kitchen had a nice mix of cooking and serving dishes, which made it easy to cook several meals during our stay; we also enjoyed eating out at Cooks, BIGS (Bailey Island General Store), and Sundrenched on the island. (Off island, we also enjoyed dining at Pomelia and Elevenses in Brunswick.) The walk to the Cedar Beach was pleasant, and we enjoyed hiking at Giant's Stairs. This was exactly the vacation week we were looking for.Two small frustrations: The TV does not have cable or an antenna, which stymied our attempts to watch a Red Sox-Yankees game on Fox; the TV offers a variety of shows and channels through Amazon FireTV. The shower curtain was also slightly too short, which made it hard to ensure that water didn't splash out; we used an extra towel to absorb it.But the rooms were comfortable and the view was wonderful."

"Exactly as advertised. A beautiful older home, but I say that to emphasize the charm. The views were great. The kitchen was well appointed and spacious. The had everything we need for a lobster boil. More amenities than advertised such as beach chairs, beach towels and a water cooler. Location was beautiful, near the end of Bailey Island. "
