I arrived late at the property and left early. I didn't get to use any of the facilities, but check-in was quick. My room was clean and roomy. It smelled a little like a dog, but not too strong. I would stay here again if I'm in the area.

This was quite a new build overlooking an estuarine river and built into a forested hillside. We had a room that catered to wheelchair patrons on the first floor with a beautiful view out front. We greatly enjoyed having a fantastic breakfast cafe next door that was pure Maine in staff and food. It likely predates the hotel, and their breakfasts are quality home cooking, well known among the locals.

A good, affordable 3-star hotel for a convenient overnight stay before departing Portland the next day. No breakfast offered. The Freeport Cafe is right next door and offers a great, affordable breakfast!

I was unaware that this hotel had two locations. At one location there was the office and pool, the other location was just a building behind a closed restaurant. I had booked this hotel specifically because it had an outdoor pool which I had planned to relax at. Unfortunately I was not given a room at the location that had the pool. Also, there were no vending or ice machines at the location I was booked in. It would have been nice to know that there were two locations so that I could request to be booked in the location that had the pool.

The pool is not heated and also not at our hotel location. There are two separate hotels. The one we were seated at was a small drive down the road. The front desk was at a separate location. No Continental Breakfast. The walls are paper thin and the floors leaves no secrets what what happens above you. Room was cleaned, AC worked, beds were good.

The property was clean and great to stay at, but also really strange. The address was for the check in desk, but was for an entirely different location across a waterway. The room was clean, but there were also really strange features. There was an ice bucket, and a sign for an ice machine, but no actual ice machine. When I asked a staff member, they said we would need to drive to another location near the check in desk to get ice. The table in the room had a broken leg so wasn't terribly functional. So it was clean and worked great as a place to stay, but was just odd all around.

We stayed in whatever other building there was across the property and it needed some construction. It was a bit dusty and just overall underkept. The room was fine but our room key ended up not working for a random reason and we had to drive down to the office to resolve the issue. There was also only one person at the desk, who was very helpful, but there should be more people to speed up the processes. 2 highlights are the food surrounding the hotel, the Freeport Cafe was super well priced and a great environment + Day's crab and lobster was tasty and had a cute seating area. The parking was also free and we were close to both Freeport and Portland.

We liked the location, some rooms have a very nice view (ours was not one of them. Very dark with a basement style window facing tire level of the parking lot). Plenty of parking and a very good breakfast/lunch restaurant on site. Road construction made it difficult to access/leave, but that is not the hotel's fault. There was trenching dug around the property, clearly pipe problems, and the hotel smelled "sewery." Our toilet was leaking at the base and would not stop running all day and night. Housekeeping was great! Once they work out these issues it will be very nice again but we won't stay here until then.
