The staff were so incredible. We loved everyone here. Our room wasn’t the cleanest and there did seem to be an ant problem but we did not bring it to the staffs attention. It didn’t impact our stay much but that’s why we gave lower scores in those areas. Aside from that we will most definitely be returning. We had a blast.

We stayed in Hotel Encino for 2 week and came home yesterday and we didn’t want to leave! The staff were amazing and hard working. The hotel is in the heart of the city and the people. You can walk anywhere from the hotel. The pool and the restaurant upstairs was amazing as well. If you are looking for a fancy resort, this is not the place. This hotel has a nostalgic Mexican feel, no refrigerator or microwave, Just good vibes. Why do you need any of that when everyone around you is cooking all day and night. Everywhere you go, there is food. So if you are going to Mexico expecting American resorts, this place ain’t for you. But if you are someone who likes to explore and doesn’t need to be in the room all day. This hotel is for you. Thank you again to the staff at Hotel Encino, from the front office to the restaurant, you all were amazing. Thank you for letting us practice our Spanish with you. Thank you for smiling faces. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I had a great stay at Hotel Encino. I actually stayed here about four years ago and was happy to return. The only thing I was disappointed to see was that the café downstairs is no longer there, as I remembered enjoying it during my previous visit. The location is one of the hotel's biggest strengths. Everything is within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area, grab food, and enjoy Puerto Vallarta without constantly needing transportation. I felt safe walking around, even in the evenings. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the hotel felt comfortable and convenient. We specifically booked Hotel Encino because of its location, and it did not disappoint. Overall, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location with friendly staff, I would definitely recommend Hotel Encino and would stay here again.

Had a good stay at Encino Hotel. It's near a lot of great attractions. Artwork and sculptures down the boardwalk, shops and restaurants. It’s near Zona Romántica for nightlife and artistic shows. Beach is also very nearby, Encino Hotel can provide beach towel. Staff are helpful and polite. My room was air conditioned which was a lifesaver. I love the heat and sun, but having a modern temperature controlled escape was nice. The only thing to point out is that they don’t allow guests. I didn’t clarify if they meant no guests at all or no guests staying the night. The rules in Spanish I believe imply no guests at all. I understand no guests staying the night, but to not have any guests at all seems a lot.

We heard that the property was being renovated and I hope that's true. We were there for 3 weeks and really could have used a fridge. Also, the showers drain kept bubbling up every couple days even after we had them clean it out and add a chemical. Plumbing should be the first thing renovated. We really enjoyed the pleasant staff and the location is the best in PV. The old world charm of the place is part of a wonderful experience.
