"I would highly recommend staying elsewhere. From the moment we checked in, this trip was filled with issues. • Hidden Fees: Upon arrival, we were hit with an extra "tax/charge" that had to be paid immediately, on top of everything we already paid for the trip. There was no "welcome to our resort," just an immediate demand for more money before getting our room. • Dining/Food Shortages: The buffet was a disaster. It was constantly picked over, with dishes scraped clean, even right after opening. The pool food stand also constantly ran out of food. We learned quickly to rush to the lunch buffet at 12:30, or else we wouldn't eat. • Pool and Amenities: The kids' pool was dangerously overcrowded, with parents not watching their children. There were no chairs available at the pool area; our family had to sit on a garden wall and take turns watching our belongings. We had to go to the lobby bar just to get drinks, and even then, there was a long line due to understaffing. • Towels: We tried multiple times to get pool towels, and after multiple failed attempts, we gave up. We had to rely on the kindness of another guest who shared an unused towel with us. • Staffing & Management: The entire resort felt severely understaffed. Management seems to be completely ignoring the chaos, leaving many guests I spoke with unhappy. • Misc Issues: The kids' pool was randomly closed at 2 p.m. without reason. "The pool was wonderful, the drinks were nice, the staff were amazing. There were many scheduled activities throughout the day that we could participate in. The rooms were great and everything was very clean. There was lots of variety in all the types of restaurants and cuisines, but the only thing I would improve is the quality of the food as none of it was outstanding but tasted fine. "

"They oversold the hotel they put me in the back of the hotel where I couldn’t see anything but bushes the staff was rude. I could never get a dinner reservation at any of the restaurants. Everything was already reserved the concierge no one could help us. It was not worth my money. Would I advise anyone to stay here. No, I would not."

"Exceptional Staff and Beautifully Maintained Property Overall Rating: 4/5 We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Coral & Turquesa. Here is a breakdown of our experience: • Service: The staff was absolutely amazing! Every person we encountered was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. • Cleanliness: The hotel was very clean throughout our entire trip. • Property Condition: I’d rate the property a 4/5. While it could use some minor upgrades in certain areas, it’s clear that they are actively working on improvements. • Dining: Overall, the food was a 4/5. The buffet was a highlight with a huge variety of choices. However, our experience at the Italian restaurant was disappointing; the quality there just wasn't up to the standard of the rest of the resort. • The Beach: There was quite a bit of Sargassum (seaweed) on the beach during our visit. However, the resort staff was out there daily actively trying to clean it up, which we really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this resort for the service and cleanliness alone!"

"Pros: cleanliness, lush green vegetation/property with beautiful walking paths, frequent golf cart transportation (but can be a wait sometimes), access to all 3 properties, the cenote/waterslide area for kids was great! Cons: walking across road from Ha to Venus/Marina, staff not overly smily or happy to be there, theatre for shows is ghetto/indoors/small/packed full and never any seating, shows are not very good, beach is appalling, food was not in easy access and hard to come by compared to all the other resorts Ive been at, the buffets were tiny!!! Asian cuisine sign would have hot dogs and nuggets always :( limited rooms with ocean view (but even if u have ocean view you’ll be looking at murky brown water), a tiny beach (no use anyways)"
