"Suwa Villa Arenal was delightful! A little oasis amid the bustle of La Fortuna. It has an inside/outside vibe--the rooms are inside (and air conditioned); the hallways, kitchen and common area are outside and covered, and there are beautiful planted areas (with big trees, a pool, and some outdoor amenities) that are outside but within the walls. One morning I sat in the common kitchen and listened for fifteen minutes to the birds in a large adjacent tree. We really did use the common kitchen and dining area to store and prepare food, and we also used the laundry--very helpful after a sweaty day of hiking! The rooms are not large, but they are well laid out and elegant. I would highly recommend Suwa to anyone visiting La Fortuna."

"My husband and I loved our stay at Habitare La Fortuna! The apartment we chose to stay in was clean, comfortable, and updated. We really enjoyed having a place to stay that was well within walking distance to a variety of great restaurants. The owners added a special touch with robes, slippers, basic bathroom necessities, and a complimentary bottle of wine. Also would like to mention that the apartments have a security gate, so we felt safe the whole time there. Would definitely recommend staying here. In fact, my husband and I are already talking about our next trip and bringing the family. We've traveled to a lot of different countries in our life, and CR is one of our absolute favorites."

"The property was easy to find and the property manager met us for the check-in. The pictures in the listing were accurate for the rooms/property and the owner was very prompt in responses to any questions we had. To be clear, the property is gorgeous. The view is stunning. Our three teenagers were in awe that we were staying somewhere so picturesque (they literally gasped and wowed as we drove up). The property is well kept and the amenities are lovely (i.e., posh bathrooms, comfortable bedding, etc.). The property manager was very prompt in responding to any questions or concerns we had. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and would recommend the property to others. During our stay one of the water pumps for an AC unit was making noises that made it hard to sleep, but there were so many options for beds we made due.My only criticism of the property is the VRBO pin location. The VRBO map puts the pin/circle for the property located roughly toward the center of La Fortuna so we expected to be able to walk to dinner, etc.. However, the property is actually a 15-minute drive east of La Fortuna. This was a little surprising/disappointing, but we solved it by renting a car."
