Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is really special. The beach, which we basically had to ourselves, is just steps off the lanai. Plenty of room for 8. Property was clean and is well maintained. We loved seeing the turtles and crabs steps from the house, and the geckos (which we like) were everywhere. The kids and adults in our group all had a great time here"

"This home is truly magical. You feel isolated and away from all the crowds, but close to everything. Access to the Auberge resort was awesome for pickleball and fitness center access. The proximity to Hapuna beach is perfect. Puako bay is an oasis! The home is clean, modern, and convenient. Thank you to our hosts for their generous and first class hospitality!"

"What an amazing location! From the beautiful sun rises over Mauna Kea, the gentle crashing waves you can hear from the bedrooms. This house is perfect. We stayed for a week and the house was perfect for our small family with small children. Puako is a charming community, it feels safe, and the beach across the street has gentle waves for the littles to enjoy."

"Excellent location, within easy walking distance to the General Store that offers limited groceries, sandwiches, the best chocolate chip Mac nut cookies. The location is also across from the beach, with easy public access. The air conditioning window units in the bedrooms were appreciated. Things to note, the laundry room is on the ground level in the “garage” and is shared with the owners that live onsite in a separate unit . Kyla and James were extremely respectful of our privacy and were quick to solve the problem of a cracked coffee carafe."

"I have only amazing things to say about our stay. This was our second time here and if we are lucky enough to come back to the Big Island, my dream would be to stay here again.The bedroom, dining, kitchen, and living areas are very clean and comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped and maintained. The owners have designed and decorated the house to match the beauty outside.Once the doors and windows are open, all you can see or hear is the ocean and the birds, really paradise. Plenty of chairs for relaxing or reading. We enjoyed some incredible whale watching while there in February/March.Close proximity to gorgeous beaches, restaurants, grocery (including the general store for basics and carryout sandwiches/snacks which is walking distance). Communication with the owners is easy"
