"Economy room was nicely decorated. Only negative was that one side of the bed was next to the wall which made getting in and out a problem. I was not happy to be asked for a £40 deposit incase of damage to the room.Then on check out being told it would take upto 3 days to be refunded. I would only return to this hotel because of the location. convenient for the City and our daughters flat."

"We used the hotel for somewhere to stay between 3 days at the download festival and the staff were very accommodating and friendly despite how tired and muddy we were. "I think this hotel has got a bad reputation from previous reviews but I think you have to contextualise the market that they target. Clearly it is a budget option and the standards obviously mirror this. Could it be better? Yes of course, but then it would be more expensive. I felt it was very convenient for staying the night after a festival I attended, it had everything and more than I needed e.g. clean sheets, warm heater, excellent fast WiFi, TV, clean bathroom/ toiletries, TV and coffee/tea...
