"The staff were great every single one of them! However the property is very old, squeaky floors, low dimmed lighting. The AC (thermostat) is extremely old and not the most efficient. The shower pressure was very weak. Room was clean and comfortable however, not much views even from the 7th floor. The pool area is in a courtyard so very shady until 11am-1pm. It is a heated pool however. Location was amazing and extremely convenient. Overall 3.5/5."

"The room was very clean and looked like it was recently renovated. There were also no odors, which is important to us as we are allergic to pets and dislike the smell of smoke. I personally liked that the room didn’t have carpeting as it made for a cleaner floor. The motel is on a semi busy street so there is some street noise but the motel was thoughtful enough to provide ear plugs for those who needed it. There are also limited parking spots that’s offered on a first come first served basis. The fee was $20 a night. The staff was very friendly and helpful so a 👍 to them. We would definitely consider staying here again the next time we’re in town."

"I had a great stay at the Surf Motel on Lombard Street. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome throughout my visit. The location is excellent. I was able to walk to nearby stores, restaurants, and the waterfront, which made getting around San Francisco easy and convenient without needing to drive everywhere. The price was outstanding, especially considering the location. It's hard to find this kind of value in San Francisco. If you're looking for a clean, affordable place to stay with great staff and easy access to local attractions, I would definitely recommend the Surf Motel."
