Awesome spot! Loved the watching the otters from our patio, the restaurant was good, great to be able to fill our water bottles, comfy beds and the front desk staff was over the top in their service and helping us find what we needed. Would definitely recommend!

We always love staying here for the beach access and oceanfront rooms. Since our last stay they discontinued continental breakfast, so either wait until 10:30 when the restaurant opens for brunch or pick up some basics from grocery. We had a blast here with Beach Gardens as our home base this trip, and look forward to our next stay in Powell River

The restaurant is closed. There is no food. They don’t take cash. The rooms are basic the view is nice. The shower is horrible hardly any water pressure. This is supposed to be the place to be in Powell River but my family members stayed in way nicer hotel rooms for less expensive. The staff wasn’t friendly. Overall not what I was expecting. It’s not a bad hotel but it’s definitely not the best.

The hotel outside area is old as it looks like the property is going to be sold or renovated to upgrade the property. The hotel is older but room was large clean and had a wonderful view with a balcony. The Bistro restaurant attached to hotel was lovely and had an outdoor patio looking over the water. It’s only open Wednesday to Sunday so we lucked out! The staff at the front desk and restaurant were attentive and friendly. We would stay again.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, largely because there are few other options in the area that offer the same combination of a great view and convenient gym access. For context, I travel extensively for work and spend 80+ nights a year in hotels, so I’ve experienced a wide range of properties. One thing this hotel consistently falls short on—and something I consider extremely important—is the shower experience. The water pressure is absolutely terrible. In fact, I struggle to think of another hotel I’ve stayed at where it has been worse. Frequent travellers know that a few basics can make or break a hotel stay: a comfortable bed, a clean room and bathroom, and a good shower. This hotel gets almost all of those things right, which makes the poor water pressure even more frustrating. I enjoy staying here and will likely continue to do so because of the location, view, and amenities, but the shower experience really needs to be addressed. Improving the water pressure would make a significant difference and bring the overall experience much closer to what you’d expect from an otherwise very good property.

The room was clean, equipped with air conditioning, and the beds were comfortable. The front desk was more than happy to answer any questions about the area. There is a restaurant onsite (we didn't eat there but it was available). Beach was in walkable distance and an onsite gym. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would book again if we were ever in the area.
