"we arrived early but were checked in straight away. parking outside was easy and they gave us a prking permit. just a few minutes walk from the
beach
and easy walk to bars and restaurants. it was very clean and the staff were very helpful. nice restaurant and bar at the hotel and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. would stay there again if we needed a hotel in the area."

"Provides every need for a basic trip. We were in Portsmouth to visit family and it was a nice hotel to stay in after a long day of socializing with all the necessary needs. Also, they have a pool table! PS. The bathroom is small but it's not THAT small."

"If you've ever served in the forces you'll think you've walked back into one of the messes. Its full of as you'd expect Naval touches and great because of it. It has loads of quirks to it from a peaceful reading room library to a small pool what's not to like. Hey its a bit dated but personally that was part of the charm. As for location, couldn't be much better for the historic dockyard/gunwharf quays/train station/ferry. I will be staying there again."

Good gym with plenty of equipment though pool / spa was not in order and being renovated. Recommended for those with a vehicle as parking is available and close to main roads M27 etc. "

"Perfect location for Historic Dockyard, outlet shopping, restaurants and bars, public transport…trains and buses. All within 10minute walk. Own carpark. All the staff are friendly and helpful with a lovely breakfast included. Our room had a fabulous view…see pics. it was clean and a good size. The bed was kingsize and comfortable. There was a double rain shower and Tea and coffee facilities but no fridge. Also there is no air conditioner unit so room can get warm when the weather is good. The Wi-Fi needs to be stronger too. We did however really enjoy our time here and would definitely recommend."
