Hotel was ok for price.The front desk person was kind of uniqe.Not person you expect on front.Guy was wearing hoodie.The rooms weren't ready on check in time and we were asked to wait about 30 minutes.Room was very clean.Parking is free.

The room was clean and comfortable but noisy due to the amount of early rising fishermen in the hotel. Parking lot is difficult to navigate due to the amount of boat trailers. Only one gentleman on duty when signing in.

Be warned: Place is not in great shape. Had massive silverfish in the washroom, broken fan/electric plugs, power went out once, wifi went out twice. The person at the desk wasn’t useful and barely paid attention. We dropped something on the floor, and the carpet was falling apart as it was all over the item. But it’s inexpensive and the bed was clean and comfy. So if you’re just looking for a cheap place to sleep then it’s okay. I was impressed LT had a fridge.

There wasn’t anything as advertised. Neglectacble staff. Our room smells smoky, with stained bedding. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for any reason. On the brighter side, the attached bar was very clean and comfortable, they were also very considerate and let us use the patio so we could sit with our dog. Everyone on staff were well spoken and considerate. Friendly and quick efficient service.

The property is poorly operated, staff not there 24/7, plug-in air fresheners everywhere and over-whelming, bags of garbage visible in hallway for 48+ hours, room “cleaned” by housekeeping after first night, but bed not made. The area had a pan with eaten salmon and bones left in it overnight, discarded items piled up against building outside! No staff present when we checked out, so no folio. We had prepaid so stuck with staying there — gross overall. The room was clean but very outdated, and bed linens acceptable; mini fridge and coffee maker OK. Recommend you only stay there if you are desperate! Bucksnorts family restaurant attached to it is a hidden gem with rustic decor, fun staff and good food. Too bad it’s attached to such a poorly run hotel.

I was originally dismayed after a non refundable booking then digesting all the negative reviews. My teenage daughter and I stayed for a night this past week. The room was $150 LESS than any other available option! We in fact had 2 clean double beds, a window that opened with a fresh breeze from the Alberni Inlet, a 3/4 size fridge and microwave for our backpacking supplies, morning coffee and a plentiful supply of clean towels and soaps and shampoo. The room also had a somewhat noisy air conditioner but a little bit of white noise was ok for my lite snoring and any neighbors arriving late. Easy parking and basically $150 extra to spend at Alberni brewing which has terrific food and beers. Yes it’s not the Fairmont but for a cheap stay on your way to Tofino or an early hike to Della Falls(US!) this was just fine!!

Nice , quiet area, ample parking. Love the staff. Very nice, friendly people. Night time was quiet in the hotel. No loud guests. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. Pub/restaurant on site. On a working trip, so got this hotel. Already booked again for next week.

The room was very clean and the lady at the front desk was so friendly and nice. Our room had a large flatscreen TV as well as a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave and air conditioner. We would definitely stay here again.

The family running the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room, including the bathroom, was clean; and the beds were comfortable (firm mattress which is what we like). Yes; it’s an older building and not fancy; but it is conveniently located near the waterfront and restaurants (like Pescatores where you can have a delicious breakfast). There is also a pub (great ambiance and atmosphere) attached to the hotel; plus a liquor store should you wish to enjoy a glass of wine in your room. We were just there for one night (for a 10K road race our son was running); and the hotel offered us a perfect low-cost accommodation option. Not fancy, but run by good, hardworking people with strong entrepreneurial spirit!
