"Think of low budget Dirty Dancing and that's basically the resort. Other than private home rentals, they have monopoly for that area. They did replace mattresses from 5 yrs earlier, a huge relief. Don't expect typical hotel services (e.g. no daily housekeeping unless you ask each day by 9 a.m. tho not a guarantee!) no in-room phone, so obviously no room service, no elevator, VERY old bathrooms, faucets, etc. Noise from surrounding rooms pretty constant. "We've rented many houses on lakes in Maine and NH and this was one of the best all around. The house was large enough for our 3 families (9 people) with room and beds to spare. Thompson Lake is magnificent and clean. The property appeared to be new to the rental market so a few minor glitches, but nothing of concern. A "starter kit" of tp, a paper towel roll, a tiny dish soap is provided, but you will need to bring or buy more. No s&p or spices at all. Coffee maker takes ground coffee. A...
