"Room 120 was very noisy because it was next to the stairs, also we could hear everything from the room above. The door to the bathroom goes off track when you shut it and it is very hard to open and I was nervous I would get stuck in there. The fireplace hardly had any flames (gas) so not sure if it needs to be fixed or if this as good as it gets, but it was hardly a fire. "

"The hotel is aging and has that old house smell. However, our room was large and clean, with a lovely high ceiling. We could see the ocean from our balcony. The hotel is situated close to the lighthouse beach and the monarch sanctuary and is a short drive to the restaurants in Pacific Grove. It is quieter here than Cannery Row. The parking lot is small, so we had to street park after getting back late from dinner. This wasn’t a problem for us, but would be a consideration if you have mobility issues. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would book again. "
