Fantastic beach front hotel in Plettenberg Bay
Fantastic hotel and staff, ideal location with direct access to a wonderful, clean and virtually isolated beach!! All towels, loungers and sun brolly provided free - with a smile! Easy access to beach restaurant and bar or a 5 min drive to the centre for more bars etc... both worth a visit. Breakfast varied and delicious, bar open in the evening if you dont fancy venturing out. Worth also noting, complimentary secure parking!! Big thank you to the team at Milkwood Manor for making us feel very welcome :)

Situated right next to Lookout Beach, this is a superb hotel. The location, views, rooms, cleanliness were all first class, and the staff very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfasts are in the restaurant area, and the food very good. We were slightly out of season, so the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings - a pity because we read good reviews about it. However, there are numerous restaurants, cafes & bistros within a few minutes drive.

Perfect Christmas Eve
We had an amazing Christmas Eve at Milkwood Manor on the Sea! The guest house really took care of us and helped us with our bags, they give beach towels, and they even gave a little Christmas cake and present with the breakfast Christmas morning. The view at breakfast was amazing, and really everything about the stay was lovely! The room was great, comfy beds and great balcony with a view. Would totally recommend this place for a wonderful stay - we only regret that we had 1 night to stay.

Absolutely LOVED this accommodation! No regrets, wish we could have stayed longer. Try and get a room with a view, it’s worth it! Hotel is clean, staff is super friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and hotel was quiet. Location is amazing, right on the beach. Would highly recommend this location to anyone!

Our spacious room had a patio facing the beach. The included breakfast was more than satisfying. The staff even washed our car! We had a great experience here, and wouldn’t hesitate to book this lovely hotel again.

Amazing views. Spacious and comfortable rooms which are nicely decorated. Restaurant on site and another a five minute walk across the beach. We also saw dolphins from our balcony!

Room was ok but one of the smallest we had had on our trip. Restaurant not part of hotel (though does the breakfast) and was fully booked for dinner. Staff recommended one within walking distance across the beach which was great.

This manor was beautiful. It's location right on the beach would have been perfect if it was beach weather. We did take a long walk on the quiet, clean beach. The staff was friendly. A restaurant is onsite but we did not get a chance to have dinner there.

Wonderful hotel!!! Small charming hotel right on the beach. A real find!! Very comfortable rooms. Less than 20 rooms in hotel. Excellent, hospitable and personable service. Worked very hard to make us comfortable. Beautiful beach. Also on the river. Free kayaks available for hotel guests. Lemon Grass restaurant attached to hotel. (Mixed reviews on restaurant - one night excellent the following night poor). Lookout restaurant a 5 minute walk across beach. Very good. Breakfast at hotel was excellent. The hotel did everything possible to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommended!!

A beautiful Oceanside hotel in a unique private setting. Clean, spacious, comfortable beds in sparking clean room. A luxury hotel all the way. Included breakfast was excellent with choice of hot entre'.

Superb location and such a lovely place to stay
A lovely few days here and you couldn't get any closer to the beach,great views over long sandy beach and here the waves crashing in,even got to see the dolphins riding the waves at this super location.Car park had a guard and always felt safe around area,lovely room with balcony and overlooking the sea,very well furnished room,comfortable bed and everything was nicely finished,bathroom and shower were great,only at in the restaurant once but meal was delicious and reasonable price,breakfast was very good with great selection,all the staff here were very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here,the location is so good but also it's lovely inside as well,wouldn't hesitate to stay here again a really great few days,thank you everyone

Fabulous Hotel
My wife and I spent two delightful nights at this outstanding property. We enjoyed the deck and in room coffee and tea. Breakfast was included and had such choices as eggs Benedict and smoked salmon as well as eggs cooked to order. The front desk person (Elisha) was very knowledgable about the surrounding area and was able to recommend great restaurants.Location was ideal for shopping and other ventures.

Nice hotel on the beach
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Great location on the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean room and facilities. Very comfortable bed. Felt safe. Quiet. Our car was cleaned at no charge. Restaurant on location if one didn’t feel like driving two minutes into town. Great place!

Great hotel right on the beach.
This hotel is great place to stay, you can walk straight out on to the beach and watch the surfers and great waves. The restaurant next door is first class food with a Thai theme.

Unbelievable location!!!
You think you're an earl, nice, clean and safe house and if you wake up and look out of your window, you can see the whales! Breakfast perfect, staff more than friendly and helpfully and a lot of very good restaurants nearby!

Best location in Plettenberg, right on the Ocean beach and the lagoon, views are stunning. Hotel is bright and spotless, well appointed rooms and very friendly staff. Staggered to have our car washed each morning.

Awesome beach and central location!
The Milkwood Manor's staff made the stay all the better, but the beach location and easy access to downtown, Robberg Reserve etc. were also huge pluses. I'm very glad I stayed here!

Nice 2 night stay
Hotel is in a great position on the beach. Our room overlooked the lagoon on the western side and had a balcony with sun loungers, table & chairs and an umbrella. Useful fridge in room but no complimentary bottles of water, which we had at every other guest house / lodge on our trip to the area. Room was large and bed comfortable. Appeared to be more functional than luxury. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good, as was our evening meal at The Lemon Grass restaurant. Good secure car parking and cars were washed - an added bonus.

Nice place, but needs aircon
Out on the edge of the bay but right on the beach, so a drive for food in the evening but not far at all or a nice restaurant over the beach. Restaurant on site but can't comment on as didn't eat dinner there. Rooms reasonably large, breakfast great but can't recommend it as the room was stiflingly hot and no aircon, just a mist fan, which did nothing. Until they fit proper aircon I would avoid during the SA summer. The mark down is purely for this.

Great Location and Good Comfort
The location of the hotel couldn't be any better. It was by the lookout beach and the lookout restaurant which we highly recommend for seafood. On a clear day you can see the entire mountain range and enjoy amazing seafood served at this restaurant (at first floor level), which is only five minutes walk away. The hotel also has it's own restaurant which was very convenient. The food was ok and staff were very polite and friendly.

Fabulous location on the beach. Rooms nice, but get a sea view, as good value. Staff excellent, but Manageress needs charm school. Breakfast incredible. Note that the restaurant is not run by the hotel and has some attitude issues.

Totally relaxing
We had two rooms and stayed three nights. The location is excellent for complete R&R and lovely walks on the beach. We had our breakfasts and dinners at the bistro downstairs and were very happy with the standard and service. The experience was like staying in a real guesthouse located on the beach front. It was a lovey break as part of a month long tour of South Africa

Good hotel with a few kinks
Fantastic location on the beach with great facilities including a good restaurant. Would return, however there were a few issues: -Wi-Fi hardly worked (not ideal for those who are roaming). A few guests including ourselves complained but it was not fixed during our stay. - we were forced to move to a different room mid-stay, which has never happened to us before. - breakfasts were delicious however they ended much earlier than other places we have been to. The lady at check in was very friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. The guest house provides chairs, towels etc for the beach which were very new and convenient.

PERFECT LOCATION!
On our travels across South Africa, Milkwood Manor at Plettenberg Bay was our 5th stop-over, where we spent two nights. With the anticipation and excitement of reaching our destination, we were extremely pleased to find Milkwood Manor situated in the most amazing spot, right on the beach and lagoon. (we did upgrade our room to a Lagoon view which is a must). The staff are very friendly and special thanks to a young waitress called Louise, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The breakfast was delightful and we dined in their restaurant on the second evening which again did not disappoint. Special thanks to the groundsman who, to our surprise, washed all guests cars in the morning (complimentary) - this was a very special, and grateful, touch especially as our rental car was looking rather "weathered" by this stage of our travels. If there is any negative I can give it just has to be that unfortunately, due to the hot weather, we found the portable air con. unit located in our room rather inadequate.
