"Only good is historic architecture at hotel. No restaurant, no bar, nothing in the hotel... if you want to sleep with fan and air conditioner that doesn't work, stay here...they gave us an option of another room second night, but air conditioner also didn't get cold... we have to take cold shower to sleep!!! never again!!! "Me gusto todo en general, excelente servicio, las habitaciones son comodas y el desayuno estaba rico, lo unico es la dirección que esta en expedia es diferente a la que tiene el hotel y los baños no tienen puertas."
"The property is gorgeous. Service is outstanding: Staff is warm and friendly and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I was here for a business trip (business hotels in the business sector of town are boring); The staff quickly noticed, made a meeting room available, and pointed to where I could get coffee, etc. The hotel is in the middle of the "old (colonial) part of town" which is undergoing an "upgrade," and becoming the "cool" part of town. (at night the property is very quiet - no street noise). It's a walkable, touristy area at night, full of restaurants and bars, but I also learned from my business relationships that a number of wealthy locals are buying properties close by and making homes, modernizing old colonial structures. "
"Very good location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The property has a beautiful, old world colonial style. My main disappointment is they advertised having a gym and a steam room, but both are closed indefinitely so the hotel Polacio SHOULD make this known to all potential guests before booking. I always look for hotels with some kind of gym facility, so their blatant dishonesty was not appreciated. Overall it has a really nice old world charm, central location and friendly staff and so I do recommend it."
