"I am a frequent guest at Sycuan Casino Resort, and one of the things I have always appreciated is how warmly I am greeted — by name — by the valet team, bell staff, bartenders, and even security. Normally, my visits are truly enjoyable. Unfortunately, this most recent stay was very different. The front desk service was disappointing the staff member I dealt with was rude, condescending, and unhelpful when I tried to ask a simple question. At the pool, I was unable to find a single available chair. I asked three different servers for assistance, but each one told me to just walk around and look for chairs with towels on them that might have been abandoned by other guests, and to remove the towels myself. This did not feel like the level of customer service I have come to expect from Sycuan. I truly enjoy this resort and hope this was an isolated experience, but I wanted to share this feedback in the hope that service standards can be addressed so future visits reflect the excellent hospitality I know Sycuan is capable "

"Lovely grounds and very nice hotel. Website should be updated as hotel no longer serves cooked breakfast. Baskets delivered each morning with coffee were very nice but we needed protein. Happy hour was fun and staff very helpful. "

"Staff was very attentive and helpful. The bed and breakfast vibe was so perfect for a cozy stay. You can play board games in the parlor in the evening or take them to your room. Make sure to get to breakfast at opening time if you don’t want to wait since there are only 5 or 6 tables for dining."

"The staff was very friendly and nice. Property is basic but pretty clean. Could use some updates, which it looked like they were doing. Outdoor space is nice. Reviews said breakfast was better than other hotels, but I didn't think there was a very good selection and no gluten free items. My husband enjoyed the evening cookies. A little far out from San Diego if planning activities there. I wanted to be out of the city, but it was maybe a little too far."
