Location, Location, Location! 5 stars for the convenience of not having to drive anywhere. The majority of everything is within walking distance which is a huge bonus if you're trying to have a relaxed stay. 4 stars only because it's street parking and if you have a room on the first floor you will hear the footsteps above. I would stay again, but upstairs.

The hotel was very vintage built in 1897 but very well maintained the room was kinda small and that's because my wife and I are very big people so the bed was small but we slept well .It felt like we went back in time and we loved the vintage look and they had a great breakfast for us in the morning and the employees were the nicest I ever met made us feel welcome and took care of our very needs !

The staff were lovely and helpful. The decoration was classy Victorian. It is on the main drag of Julian. And the included breakfast was tasty and filling.

Truly enjoyed our visit. We called to inform the front desk that we would be arriving late and were informed that someone would be waiting for us with the room key. The night manager was super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast here is always above and beyond. We always enjoy this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Gold Rush Hotel while our daughter attended camp nearby. The hotel has a charming historic feel and is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Julian. Our room was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located on the first floor, making it easy to bring our luggage in and out. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. The only thing to keep in mind is that the hotel does not have its own parking lot, so parking is on the street. We didn’t have any issues finding a spot during our stay. Overall, it was a peaceful and relaxing place to stay.
